The recent result in South Thanet below. The Tories increased their majority by around 3500 votes.
If the Tory MP gets convicted of any of these offences then we'll have a very interesting, and given the Tory/DUP majority a very important, by-election.
The increased majority hardly tells the real picture though. The UKIP vote went down by 13,000. Conservative vote went up by 6,400 and but the labour vote went up by 7,100. So it suggests that just over 50% of the UKIP defectors turned (back to?) to Labour. If the Tory MP gets convicted of any of these offences then we'll have a very interesting, and given the Tory/DUP majority a very important, by-election.

So if the crime is proved and the tory turns out to be a crook, another election? yayIf the Tory MP gets convicted of any of these offences then we'll have a very interesting, and given the Tory/DUP majority a very important, by-election.
