True Blue. Pretty rare.

Looks like a feckin' 4x4 though at that ride height and whats the story with the 3.14 lock opener reverse & fog light?

hehe

Get it sorted man. biggrin

Hope you're bringing to Gary's Picnic as part of the supporters club.

Definitely needs to be lowered though Patrick, unless you are going to fill the bed to capacity and tow with it.

Here's mine with a 2" drop at the back and 1" at the front.

Just my personal preference but I think it makes a huge difference to the look.

I agree that it looks better - what's the ride comfort like lowered though?

It's exactly the same.

The spring rate doesn't change, just the mounting points are moved.

Liking the truck. I do wonder if I should look at swapping my Camaro for one, before prices go too crazy on the Lightnings.

prices are already crazy - I sold my old one 7 years ago for 9500 (maybe if I'd have really tried I could've pushed for an extra grand) this one cost considerably more than that. I've seen a couple of high mileage (100k +) ones for £12k/£13k and one with 256k miles up for £8.5k yikes according to 'how many left' there are only 27 in the UK (I suspect that that figure may not be totally accurate - but there are not loads) and the prices for good ones in the US seem to be on the up as well

Yeah I've been watching prices of them for a few years now.

My Camaro hasn't really risen, but stayed pretty level. I think how many left says only 100 or so, despite GM selling them here. So I wonder if they will be one to look out for in years to come though.

I guess I don't really want a change, but can't justify or afford keeping the Camaro and getting another Yank of this value.

I do love the glass roof T-tops and the OHV rumble of the Camaro, and that's the main reason I never swapped it for a s197 Stang.

Would have loved a 2003/4 Terminator, but they seem impossible to find in the UK these days. The Lightnings just look ace, have the blower whine and practical to boot!

Hope you enjoy yours biggrin

Very nice, I'm not sure if I have seen one in that color before.
cheers it's 'true blue' and was only an option for 1 year on the Lightning (making it the rarest colour)

cheers old chap - I'd forgotten how much I liked hearing the supercharger! I do feel though that it is too quiet so that'll need to be looked at at some point

If you want to keep it "stock" as such but want that classic supercharger whine, a set of cogged pulleys is the way to go.

you're a bad man Adam rofl!! I was actually thinking that the exhaust was too quiet (currently has a new flowmaster on it so, being the tight git I am, that has to stay... maybe loose ssome of the cats)

You can't just take the Cats off.

Well you can but you will need a custom tune and a friendly MOT station.

back to Lightningrodder for ideas lol. I suspect that taking off the flowmaster (keeping it in the garage as a 'spare' until I sell the truck) and getting something (semi)obnoxious may be the best way round it.

Was hoping to get up for Gary's this weekend but I've been advised I have other plans lol (it's not all bad - off to see the premiership final)

If you just want noise, get a pair of electric cut outs welded in.

Silly sounds for cruise night or whatever and standard non annoying exhaust for normal trips.
