It is hardly surprising it swung to leave.
It seemed there was a never ending stream of arrogant mutterings coming out of Brussels.

Even today the referendum was spoken of as holding Europe to hostage over a tory party argument.
How arrogant.
Umpteen million vote no to what they are doing, and there is not a hint of self reflection.

Not being able to keep there mouths shut probably swung it leave's way

I sincerely hope anyone unemployed who voted out will jump at the chance to get themselves back in the market
You know the night shift at the poultry processing factory, the fruit picking jobs in the rain, the train station cleaning the unskilled manual stuff
All the jobs that they comsidered themselves too good for

And good luck securing trade deals in 18 months time off the very same countries we've told to bigger off this morning

And while we're at it.
What about inward tourism ? I'd like to see the next couple of years estimates for that
We've forgotten the dead toddlers getting washed up on our all inclusive beaches and remembered the immigrants snooping around trailer parks

Think what you've done the next time you want some building work done on your house and there's no one to do it for a reasonable price.

Think what you've done the next time you're ageing Mum is being cared for by a Latvian care worker, because Maria is going home soon.

And think what you've done when you're suddenly taken into hospital and a Polish nurse saves your life, because next time Magda won't be there for you as she can no longer work legally in the UK.
Funnily, I'm having some building work in a couple of weeks. The guy is English and very reasonably priced. Having my garden sorted out - again, another English worker.

Care workers - well, in the care home I did some temp work at, they were 80% Indians. Not a single Eastern European.

Nurses - mainly Brits and from SE Asia.

I really feel that you might need a 'chill' pill - take one every 3 hours or whenever you feel that you might be about to make a statement which suggests some bitterness. Did you vote for Remain by any chance ?

WELL DONE BRITAIN!!! Well done on: Crashing the Stock Market: Ruining Pensions: Crashing the value of our currency to a 31 year low: all overnight! Hopefully the NEW TVR plant in Wales will help restore some of the damage and bring the country back to it's feet!
52% of the country are waking up this morning with a hangover from hell thinking "What the "F" did I do last night?!"
fk me what a drama queen. One thing is for sure, we wont be relying on the likes of you to forge forward with our nation. I suggest you clear off to Germany or France now and apply for citizenship whilst you still can.

Don't tempt me. The attitude you just displayed is shows the worst side of British society and from my experience the leave campaign. It's one step away from making folk wear badges and bundling them into cattle wagons. Nice.
Oh do fk off.

You lost

Get over it

Then, when you've done crying like a bh you can join the rest of use with working on a better future. Or Leave. Oh, sorry, you cant, you're a Remainer.
And you just proved my point.

I'm accept the result but as for Remain bullying- try taking a look at all the replies to what I said. Name calling, insults. Cheers guys well done for proving what I said all along about the Leavers.

I woke this morning and thought "What have we done!"

But after another day of:

Old people
Thick people
Little Englanders
Quitters
Xenophobes
Racists
Fools
House price crash
We're all going to be sacked
Can we have another referendum that gives the right answer?
I didn't bother to vote, it's your fault
etc

I'm a lot happier with the decision we made simply because it's not what the people making those comments wanted!

So a long way off what you originally implied which was:

Single out an entire race by making them wear a badge to identify them, round them up and put them on a train, take them to a concentration camp, gas them and burn the corpses.

Do you have some sort of an issue, what's hilarious is you complain of name calling and insults and you've already implied the above.

Bizarre!

Can you stop nitpicking with each other and get on with leaving? The rest of the EU is bored of waiting. Shut the door on your way out.

How comes the majority of pro-exit folk manage to come across as horrible obnoxious tts?

"You've lost"
"Get out our country"

Then the political contingent;

Farage. Now openly racist.
Johnson. Political gains at the expense of his (supposed) genuine briefs. Also, a buffoon (yes, he is. He's an idiot savant in as much as Katie Price could be described as a 'shrewd business woman')
Gove. Hated by all those in education... The leading intellectuals of this country, trained and employed to educate our future generations hate this man because they believe him to be totally incompetent.

Then the political parties.

Tory.
UKIP.
BNP / Britain First / EDL etc.

All s. Absolute proven track record. I know that's not a popular view on PH, but if you look at it objectively, there's no other way to describe the lot.

And then there's those 'in the know' in the land of economics; the vast majority of whom are predicting total disaster for the UK.

And then there's the rest of the world, who're all looking on with a combination of disbelief and bemusement. If you check the more international Internet forums, the UK is currently a laughing stock.

I just can't see a positive to this, try as I might. Emotionally speaking, I have no preference either way. I don't care really. But the pro exit argument seems to be 'we'll be really good at stuff' whilst the pro-remain argument seems to be a fairly comprehensive list of pitfalls and potential disasters.

I realise this is a combative post (for PH) but if anyone can convince me with facts and figures why the leave vote is the right one, I'll happily settle down.

Because it was a vote for a better future - you can't see it - don't worry you will

There were no accurate fact in the "debacle" both side called a campaign just polar opposite views and there in the lost in all of that was the true middle ground

And democracy could see it

There seems to be some real bitterness on here. More people wanted out than in, simple as that. If after 40 years of being in this is the best Britain can be then I say lets try being out. According to some of these posts and the names and accusations that they imply then I must be a real nasty piece of work for daring to want to try a different route to improve things for me and my family.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to improve things for you and your family. But our problems are home grown. They aren't caused by EU membership. Leaving the EU just makes our economic prospects worse.

Where did I say race? That's your interpretation or is it a Freudian slip?
Even the Nazis weren't bothered about race - it was any group that disagreed with them.
The primary issue the referendum was won on was immigration and border control.
Many of those who voted leave would think you were talking about MPG when you talk of the economy.
