Unfortunately didn't move quick enough to transfer away from Register1, and now following an issue with mail am unable to get register1.net to update the mx records...(its showing in control panel but I get an error when submitting).

To add to this, some of my other domains I had with them appear to be stuck when I tried transferring out (usually I receive a notification etc for any changes, but had nothing from Register1).

I've raised several support tickets, but not a single one has been answered over the past few days, and the new company doesn't appear to want to help either...

Not sure where to go from here, bar paying to force a transfer with nominet to a new provider? Which considering I have 40+ domains will be expensive.

Anyone have any bright ideas or insider knowledge on what's going on in Register1?

You should move! Register1.net has been on a downward spiral for a long time. It used to be owned and run by a PistonHeader. He and his team were ontop of things, service was really good and prices were fair. After he sold the business things got bad.

I started the last thread in 2014 to both vent a little bit but also warn others about problems.

Jan 2010 - Signed up and good service.

Aug 2013 - Getting bad.

Oct 2013 - More of the same.

Jan 2014 - Moved.

Things didn't improve and I ended up moving all my domains first over to name.com then namecheap. Namecheap ended up being really good and I am still with them. Their prices are good and service is first rate. This is the biggest reason I am still with them. HTTPS and hosting is cheap.

I am not connected to them, just a happy customer.

Having had many domains with register1 and 123-reg.

What is the best option these days, who to use?

I also need some new hosting space with PHP.

Thanks.
