Hello All,

I've been working on reviving and updating the alternative parts list. I gathered together the lists which I found online and put them together into one Microsoft Excel style table.

I edited out a few obvious double entries and added all (hopefully!) of the new information which has appeared in the threads from the last 3-4 months.

Here is the result ....

NEW Alternative Parts List

You do not need to own Microsoft office to open and read the table, I don't own it and I used the free OpenOffice software to make and edit the table.

There is a sort function added to the first column and a new column has been added for web links.

Let me know what you think ?

I can also volunteer to be the caretaker of the list, so if someone sends me some info. which needs to be updated, I can add this to the list.

Good effort - that will be useful

One of the things it could be useful to add is who has bought a component and when - particuarly useful for knowing that something is right. I have a long list of stuff which I can confirm along with suppliers.

cheers TVRees, this is very helpful! i can confirm the S1 air filter (Mann Hummels C26109) k&n replacement is indeed the 'K&N 33-2013' its a perfect fit unlike the cpari 2.8 one i tried which was a completely different shape

I am SO glad you have done that! The original list was invaluable when I was doing my car but it had become outdated in many ways and really did need an upgrade. By adding the links in the way you have it should make it even easier to use. Big task, very much appreciated!clapbowbeer
I will print off a copy and see if there if there is anything I can add.

Thanks Guys,

If anyone wants me to add/remove anything to/from the list, then send me an email or post the info on here. Also, regarding the "who bought what and when" idea, send me some info. and I'll try to incorporate this into the table.

Here is a PDF copy of the list .... for the phone users out there.

Good work indeed .

I note that you have shown the Fiesta Brake master cylinder being fitted to all S3's , this is not the case, predictably TVR used what happens to be in the parts bin , my S3C and others have the Saab units .

My 87 S1 has a Ford type brake master cylinder with attached reservoirs. I am not sure what Ford it is out of. I have had my sleeved in stainless steel so should have no further trouble.

The more I look at this Tim the more I respect the work you have done! bow I am slowly working my way through as opportunities allow and there are a few points I will be able to add. Superb and incredibly useful though. Respect. We, and especially newer owners, really owe you one beer

Hello All,
Tidied up the list a bit this afternoon and added a "Documents Links" table. More documents will be added in the next few weeks.
Also, I added the original link to the Useful Links Wiki. See "NEW Alternative Parts List = 2016 NEW List"
