Petition calling for a second EU referendum crashes because it’s so popular:

http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/24/petition-calling-for...

Would enough people now be thinking "oh sh*t, what have we done?" and vote differently given a 2nd bite at it?

Ironically, Farage was calling for this last week if they lost 52-48.

Why not best of 3? Or even a perpetual neverendum.

At this rate we'll end up with two countries. One composed of Scotland, Northern Ireland and London/SE in the EU and the rest 'going it alone.'

To be fair, it was the most engaged in politics I've seen people in my life, so maybe we should have another referendum.

How about independence for Wessex? (Let's face it, the rest of the country was st at fending off Vikings, so let 'em rot... wink)

I think you have a second vote by emigrating in this situation. Sad but true. If my head office went to Germany, what choice would I have? Sorry but my family comes first and economic security is number one. Sovereignty (which we already had) doesn't put food on the table

I'll be off like a shot if they move our operation to Munich!

Trouble is, it'll probably be Paris and I'll stay working from home anyway biggrin

You could always look for another job - There will be loads of jobs now and you'll be paid double what you'd have got under the nasty EU - Oh, and you can leave your front door open and people won't steal stuff and we'll all tip our hat to each other on the way to work.

Yes, it's back to the 1930s! biggrin

Yes, but you won't be allowed to without a lengthy visa application, now!

I started a post about 20 minutes ago on the same subject which got closed down. Here is what I said..

I'm sick and tired reading on social media and Forums that there should be another referendum on EU membership. get it into your heads, it's over. Democracy has spoken and just because you lost you can't keep asking for another vote (and maybe another one) until you get what you want.

End of rant.........for now!

As a Remain believer, I totally agree. We had what 43% turn out for students? Some of my friends were apathetic and couldn't be bothered to vote. Today they're complaining it's gone in a direction it shouldn't have. Screw you!!

A vote should have some finality to it. That's the bloody point. I think this referendum was too complicated an issue to put to the electorate and a bad call by Cameron - both sides had pros and cons which go well beyond the mere immigration issue which headlined - but that's a separate issue.

The decision is done. Second vote? Emigrate.

Wasn't this the second referendum?

If you can have two referendums I don't see why a third is an issue.
