I think that the WTO option - well its not so much an option as the bottom of the barrel - would be a disaster
Why?
I think others have answered that a number of times on here. Check out what some of them have said and you will see that respected commentators support them.

Those that convinced themselves that there would be a GE in the near future which would be won by labour led by Owen smith will undoubtedly be upset that this avenue to their u-turn hopes is now cut off
There can't be an election in the near future as we are now stuck with 5 year terms after the legislation of the last government.

We were talking about this thread earlier down the pub and one of my friends who is a very creative thinker said......

The question we were asked was do you want to leave the European Union (so suchlike) so the solution is simple..... Convince the EU to change its name to simply Europe and move a few deckchairs around on the deck and you will have achieved that hehe

If we called the European Union Brexit it would keep a lot of people happy. We wouldn't even have to ask them, I could be a British thing.

thankfully the UK voted to get out of said st, irrespective of what a very 'creative thinker' may rename it

On a small point, there were not two questions on the ballot paper of course, just the one. There was a choice between just two answers.
For clarity -
The question/s:
'Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union OR leave the European Union'

So two questions in the same sentence.
To keep you happy I'll concede your point, the questions (TWO) didn't appear separately.
Congratulations you have won that point, does your pathetic win make you happy or smug, perhaps both.

Just get over the vote. It is history. Deal with the present. Hope for the future.
I wish you would, the UK voted to leave.
Not everyone who voted to leave will get all/some/or any of what they might end up with and voted for.
They voted to leave the EU, everything about it,everything it represents, everything it gives the UK be it good or bad.

Spin it,argue it,waffle about it, it makes not a jot of difference.
Live with it.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility, the Tories could seek to repeal the Fixed Term Parliaments Act, although that is as unlikely to happen as that of a second referendum on staying/leaving the European Union.

Still 'Hope', Bob & No wink

The suggestion to live with it is rather silly. We have to.

You keep mentioning the leave vote as if it was relevant, as if it means something. It doesn't. It's over. It is history. You are the one building it up into something it was not. It is just leave. The Norwegian option is leave. WTO is leave. I'm accepting reality.

Just the one question but with two options.

It's really quite simple.

Something tells me it won't happen, but here's an article that ajd can take some comfort from. His favourite subject which seems to rear its head every few pages.

But, but, but......"what about the nasty Farage posters" laugh

Well I'm glad we cleared that one up.

But while the statements is easy to make putting it into effect isn't if peoples lives and the economy are to be protected as best as possible.

How long do you think it's going to take?

Perhaps you could have voted in order to try and influence it rather than dribble on here. Your words are no good, your vote may have been

There wasn't an option for 'Don't care either way'.

So, how long do you think it's going to take before we leave?

The result affects me as much as the next man.

Now, how long do you think it's going to be before we leave?

So why not try and affect the result? Your logic makes no sense.

My logic is sound. If I don't care whether we are in or out why must I vote for one or the other?

I don't recall you doing so I'm afraid. Please do so again.

No one is saying you have to vote. It would give your views more substance though
