I thought the lower class voting in the Tories was this countries nadir. Turns out the lower class, who benefit from EU membership the most, voting us out - giving rise to the above Anti-fking-Christ - is even lower.

What the fk is happening?!
fking grow up! Enough of your class bks FFS rolleyes
Class bks?

You mean, you've missed what's happened during this conservative government?

Zero hours contract?
NHS?
Benefits cuts?
Small business decimated by larger business as a direct consequence of government policy?

Etc etc.

All of which I, close friends and family have first hand experience of.

You can dismiss what I and those close to me have experienced as 'bks' all you like, but it doesn't alter the fact that we have suffered. It just makes you a glib little .

This result has been on the cards for years. The immigration issue has been on the agenda for the last few General Elections but whenever anyone attempted to address it, were shouted down as racists. The rise of UKIP and the fact that Euroscepticism is a natural standpoint for many this should come as no real surprise.
We should consider ourselves very, very lucky that we got the Leave vote. I fear politics would have turned extremely nasty if not and nothing changed with an accelerated rise of the far right (see Hungary, Northern Italy, France, Holland for examples far beyond anything UKIP brought to the table).

That's what I'd do in their position. I'd say "S*d off and don't make a fuss about trade agreements and stuff on the way out."

Without wanting to hi-jack the thread, what about UK nationals in other EU countries? How do they feel?

But most importantly, will I still be able to get a sausage roll and eccles cake off a nice Polish girl in Strutton Ground at lunchtime?

UKIP, with this Leave vote and the popularity of Trump will enable far right sentiment from those who've previously sat on their harder line views.

This country is erring Right, slowly but surely. Both extreme left and extreme right are equally nuts but extreme left is;

Whilst extreme right is;

I realise this is an over simplification but the point still stands.

Bottom like is, we're all set to have a really st time.

52% of the people got a shock when they voted for democracy but got an exorcet missile into the side of their countries economy. Most of whom voted because A; they hate Cameron B; they didn't think they'd vote would matter and C; they hate brown faces.

Farage... "If it's 52 / 48 it's not a clean vote and we'll continue campaigning"

Wait, what?

I remember one bloke having a a good old rant about the EU because EU legislation impacted his glider club... I bet he's having the time of his life now he's allowed to soar through the skies with less health and safety concerns imposed by those Nazi Eurocrats! In the mean time, his pension just evaporated whilst the biggest financial institutions in London just vanished like Duckulas's castle.

I believe you are having a Damascene Moment. And a bit of a tantrum. Your fundamental beliefs are being challenged, and you don't like it.

Other people think differently to you. Get used to it. Maybe even listen. Judging by your view of the extreme left, those "other people" are a bit cleverer than you are.

You are still wrong and clearly not listening to anyone. As a poll conducted on leave votes showed the main reason they voted leave, was because of the EU itself.

What I find shocking, is that the EU has said it wants the UK gone, as soon a possible, and other EU bureaucrat's, have started the` ` We will make the UK pay this' noises, but it seems that not one of them has asked the question : WHY did over half the voters in a country of over 65 million people WANT to leave the EU?
If the EU elite is so dumb, disconnected (and just plain arrogant) that they cannot even try to understand why the people of the country who form its second largest net contributor of funds in the EU, and its second largest internal market wanted to leave, then THEY really need to start examining THEMSELVES, and what THEY have done to bring this situation about.
If they don't, they will soon start seeing other EU member states going the same way as the UK, and that at least does seem to have had the effect of them starting to sh*t themselves.
For them it is not a case of we must understand what are we doing wrong, but rather a case of: we must take steps so as not let others escape from our corrupt organization.

Edited by Pan Pan Pan on Saturday 25th June 08:13
I think this is why the reaction from everyday people is more positive. Because the people are not as dumb as the politicians sometimes think they are..

EU if it is to survive, needs to suck it up a bit and accept that this result is not perculiar to the UK, and if they held referendums in all the countries, it WOULD be replicated in some at least.
Whether it be racists, xenophobes, biggots or uneducated voting, well if that is the case, we are not the only country with a high proportion of such people!

By all means, educate me.

As I've state elsewhere, I have no real emotional preference in or out. But after reading far too many articles from both left and right, and Internet forums from all over the (English speaking) world, the Out vote just makes zero sense.

If there's an enormous chuck of argument I've missed, I'm all ears.

I bet you aren't.

Try the "Reasons to ..." section. The top three reasons given by both sides. Maybe think about them.

I saw a German post on another forum, who said he glad the UK is leaving as we have been getting special treatment and bullying the EU to give into our demands.

Your needle is stuck sunshine, we just had a referendum and the majority voted to leave the EU , the key reason this happened was because the voters wished to run their own affairs via local accountable democratically elected leaders, not people like Juncker.

Its all here, if you can be bothered : http://lordashcroftpolls.com/2016/06/how-the-unite...

Tine to wake up and grow up.
