Positive Discrimination
Discussion
My son left the British Army and applied for a job at North Wales fire service where he was told they were only actively seeking gay and Lesbian ethnic minorities who can speak Welsh for the roles at present so not to bother applying until the criteria changes as you only get 2 chances to apply.
He isn't a gay or a ethnic minority and can't speak fluent Welsh, but he is a intelligent very fit strong lad who has no problem with heights being an ex para.
The world has gone mad.

Tick 3 boxes and you're quids in, 2 and still a good chance, 1 box and the reserve list, no ticks no chance.
My workplace sent me on a course about how to recruit people and one of the sections dealt with diversity.I never did get an entirely straight (excuse the pun) answer on how you can entirely legally choose that you want to employ a black lesbian in the name of diversity, but couldn't tell a black lesbian you didn't want to employ them because you wanted a straight white man.
Both seem discriminatory, you'd think you'd be encouraged simply take on the best person for the job regardless.
Just tick mixed race and gay, no way in the world at the interview they can get rid of you on the basis of ( I'm sorry but your white and straight so go away) as you may identify as mixed race in your mind and also could be bi?
If they do state anything discriminatory then sue them for discrimination.

Apparently the bbc have a specially funded presenter training scheme aimed only at ethnic minorities, which seems terribly racist as it suggests these people need extra help.
To put the top hat on it the biggest single recipient of this fund, to the tune of £50k, is none other than multi millionaire ex footballer Dion Dublin.
(And it was obviously a waste of £50k, I've seen him on Homes under the Hammer, he's hopeless... wooden, stilted and completely devoid of personality).
