Fact is the are 16 million voters blaming Boris on Brexit; he knew he'd be unelectable in general election. It's that simple.
Exactly, he's made himself very unpopular. He's gone from lovable fool to village idiot.
Do you believe that that transition can be made the other way?

I think he's finished.

... I would assume the only sensible thing that MPs could do would be to vote yes or no in line with how their constituency voted...
Interesting thought. Here are some interesting constituency results to go with it:

Wokingham (John Redwood) - Remain won 57/43
Bath & North East Somerset (Jacob Rees Mogg) - Remain won 58/42
Epsom & Ewell (Chris Grayling) - Remain won 52/48

We can no doubt rely on these MPs representing their constituent's views rather than their own, can't we?

just reflecting on 35 pages of responses to the question is boris stting himself? I'd say a big fat yes.

Spineless coward who has put his own ambition before the needs of his country in crisis.

Hopefully, he will stop making bullst speeches now attempting to be a modern day Churchill.

bd.
This. Rumour yesterday that Boris had offered Number 11 to three separate people in return for support.

Utter cockwomble who has gambled the future of the country for his own political end. He deserves the contempt of the nation.

Proves that the leave campaign had no idea what they would do if they won.

I suspect there was a bit more to it than that. Rumours are that Gove lost confidence in him, and then stuck the knife in.
Yes

It is not a matter of bottle or not. There is little point standing if you cant win.

Withdraw from the EU?

They weren't an alternative government that was the question and the plan. You might as well ask the prominent Labour campaigners in the leave campaign what their programme for government was.

You're forgetting that Cameron promised that he would stay as PM regardless of the result of the referendum.

The cluster f*ck currently occurring is a direct result of Cameron being what he accused the 'leavers of being: quitters.

Lot to be said for that. On Syria he got outvoted, but remained. He did not get it this time.

No he didn't, he just wanted to be PM, he wanted to see Cameron invoke art50 if leave won, once the EU backlash starts proper, and then he would have ran for pm, simple as that.

Cameron said he would invoke art50 incase of a leave vote, Boris believed him, Cameron is no idiot, he made a very foolish mistake though.

Agreed. Cameron spat his dummy out and Boris caught a cold.

May and Gove need now to perform.
