I think Corby will be at the next election as well.
Some food for Corbyn's thoughts if he is facing May in 2020. This is from a ComRes poll published on 17 July.

To draw some of the numbers, most of Labour think their leader is ste?

That is now, what about a few years in?

I hope he is out at this debacle with the no hopers, but a sneaky suspicion that the extras behind the scenes are calling the shots. I half expect the constituencies to start to deselect come autumn if he wins. There seems to be a groundswell of social media types that are using that medium to effect. And not forgetting the unions have not dumped him yet and his two Rottweilers are still there.

Not sure on his chances but I think Dan Jarvis would good choice, good man of the people credentials, solid real life experience, a Peace Keeping Para in Kosovo should give him a good insight into conflict resolution. He is IMHO both a potential election winner and has the credential to do a good job.

Hadn't heard much about him but seen on the TV a few time recently. If he can get support within Labour could make a good PM. The fact he is only one of seven MPs (that I could find!) to serve in Iraq and/or Afghanistan says something.
Blimey! That is a rather surprising statistic, isn't it? Especially when you consider that there must be a fair few more ex-Forces MPs who left before 2001.

I have designed and run enough Leadership training programmes to understand that Labour don't have anyone that displays any qualities of leadership.

I have seen numerous fresh faced grads with more about them than the current bunch.

Thats what I was saying to a friend the other week, in terms of leadership pipeline, Labour have zilch.

Thats a long term issue.

She served her purpose as a convenient stalking horse to get the leadership election going.

Good point, 2020 is 4 years away, though I can't see Corbyn becoming more impressive whereas I can see that for TM.

Its not his impressiveness I worry about, it is the support that keeps him there.

'About time Labour had a woman at the helm.'
Not my words, Eagle's.

Then throws the towel in for nerd and Remainian, Owen Smith.

Christ, might as well have Owen Jones! laugh
I suspect Corby is also smiling at not facing Eagle.

1920? Corbyn v May.
May should landslide it, but as Wilson said 'a week...

Either way, I wonder how much it annoys the militant feminazi factions that the only party to have had a female leader, let alone 2, is the hated Tory party

Good Lord, why on earth would you hope that?

If Corbyn wins again, then surely there's every chance of May being able to put forward a proper Tory manifesto and getting the majority she needs to deliver it?

What could possibly be better?
