Good Lord, why on earth would you hope that?

If Corbyn wins again, then surely there's every chance of May being able to put forward a proper Tory manifesto and getting the majority she needs to deliver it?

What could possibly be better?
Me spidy senses have been tingling big time since he posed up out of nowhere. The way he got the vote and he is backed, I am not sure the Tories could do the same. There are no real big stunning players for the tories at the moment, I can see him in no 10. That is scary.

And the next election will be No. 3 for the tories to keep, gets harder after a few innings.

OK, number 2 without the Libs dangling on.

Its not his impressiveness I worry about, it is the support that keeps him there.
Lots of noise from not that many supporters in electoral terms? Labour know they're unelectable with Corbyn at the helm.

Smith seems completely incapable of pronouncing 'hugely'.

When he say hugely it sounds like Ooh jelly.

Never mind, he's normal and as radical as Corbyn.

This is the bit that gets me. Am I right in thinking that the unions members, members of the Labour Party etc. are voting, this is not only the MP's electing?

200,000 odd voters last time around? How many have changed their minds, the MP's might think so and the senior labour but they have rules. At the moment that is. Be interesting to see what way the unions tell their members to vote.

Reading back through Smiths past (employment and comments etc.), there are a lot of issues there. The press could make like uncomfortable for him.

Baking a hat cake just in case.

.
That's my understanding, in that after MPs and MEPs got the list down to 2 candidates, it's over to the Party members and supporters to vote for their new leader.

It's not too late to vote!

Well done Labour Party for your constant in-fighting, more Conservatives come the next election then.
Thank goodness. The country may have a chance after all.

He got elected by 250,000 people, and nobody knows how many of those were Tory supporters paying their £3 specifically to vote for him.

Around 100 times as many people voted in the 2015 GE, so rather a different equation.

I see the same "accident" happening again.

I think there is a satin, careful what you wish for.

Now I cannot decide, should my cake hat be a sponge or fruit cake.

So right wing extremists try to corrupt the Labour Leadership election, again. Surprising that.

I suspect "right wing" just means "anything bad" to some people.

I think perhaps he was referring to the subjects of the Guido Fawkes article.

I find it not without irony, that family members who have joined the Labour Party at the start of the year because they have felt inspired by Jeremy Corbyn, received their ballot papers yesterday.

Of course, this is for the NEC with candidates including the raspberry beret toting, Eddie Izzard. Yet clearly they are not good enough to be able to vote for the Leader unless the skunked up some more cash.

It is great to see their consistent approach.

Edit to add - they will not be voting for 'Our Eddie'
