My gearbox mounts appear to have failed - they're just generic round mounts M10 thread 40mm height.

I don't have spares, and I don't think I could get enough height to change them here.

The car is just drivable at walking pace, where would you recommend I try?

Any suggestions very welcome.

There's a guy on here called Adenauer (Karl) - he may be able to help, although I fear you'll struggle to find anything open on a Sunday in Germany.

I'm over the border in Belgium with a car trailer if you're really stuck.... smile

ETA: may be helpful to know what car it is.

Thanks, I'll drop him a PM.

I really should be able to get home under my own steam, but thanks again for mentioning the trailer.

I'm in my Cerbera this time, I was in Zolder on Friday for the TVR NL event, that was fun. The drive down on Thursday wasn't fun at all.

I'm here by myself and I've already hitchhiked to Mullenbach and back again to get my case from the B&B. So I would have to rely on strangers to get up the the TF carpark to try to find Dale.

I've now based myself at Adenau, staying in what was Eddy's - but is now owned by Pinocchio's apparently!

The boys helped me out enormously a few years back when my Impreza had a wiring issue.

They aren't open Sundays though from what I can remember but they were ace.

Thanks, very close to me. I can see that they have at least two car lifts.

I think I could have done a temporary repair without new parts if only I could get enough height, but I only have two axle stands.

I'll make sure I'm waiting for them when they open tomorrow.

Just been down to see them, they are a massive operation, and the ADAC guys seem to be based there, and doing brisk business too.

Had a quick chat with a guy there, who was very positive, and confident that they'd be able to help on Monday morning.

On another note, the track itself is not absurdly busy, despite being Sunday afternoon on a sunny summers day. Shame I'm not out there with them, only managed one and a half haps earlier this morning.

Hi Luke - good to meet you again, sorry my memory is so rubbish that I forgot about the TVR meet at Chatsworth in 2013 - but it took you a while to remember as well!

No worries mate. Managed to get back to the UK yet? The guys with the evo etc were absolute idiots. If we'd have been going back today I'm sure we'd have been able to sort something.

Hope it all works out for you.
