Sky interviewed the newly appointed Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury earlier this afternoon. It was pretty funny to watch, she staunchly defended Corbyn (obviously an allay as she had just been promoted). Dermot Murnaghan said, I apologise, but I don't know you, so can you tell me your back ground/experience and your suitability for the role . She replied she used to be a lawyer and the Government/Opposition obviously needed a lot more lawyers now. He then suggested, that's fine, but what about your finance experience to which she responded that she read the Financial Times. When pushed further as to how that manifested to a suitability for the role, she said she read it thoroughly :-)
Osborne has a degree in Modern History and worked as a freelance journalist before becomming a researcher for the Conservatives. If she's an ex lawyer she's overqualified!techiedave said:
Christ on a bike the ralley in favour of Corbyn outside the houses of parliament -they have dug up Skinner the guy is getting well excited his eyes might pop out
Its unreal, he's existing in a parallel universe. Its like the EU exit hasn't happened. Clueless. Are we going to see a new SDP party formed from the Labour party's collapse.

Does Corbyn know that Reagan and Thatcher are no longer with us?
Did I miss anything from him that suggested he was talking to the Labour heartland that voted in majority for Leave? As all I heard sounded like something Caroline Lucas would say.The fact that it was so detached from the current situation to be baffling just isn't relevant to them.

I must say that, while I don't think he will ever win an oration award, he seems to come across quite well if you read the comments. Theres a point where he talks about people being disenfranchised and powerless at which the Tories all laugh (obviously at the similarity to JC's own position), but which viewers assume are a bunch of millionaire Tory's laughing at the poor and powerless.
I'd bet money on JC winning a general election if some decent PR guy/Labour donor cracked some heads and surrounded him with a good team.
He comes across as a person, unlike most of the greasy power-mad weasels that infest the House of COmmons.https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=101543...

Only if you hang around the PH climate change threads and/or drive a V8.Anyway, seems Corbyn has decided to fight a general election campaign, might be wise or not, depending on whether there is going to be a general election or not.
I think given the mandate he has from the party membership Corbyn probably has the right to fight a GE as leader. However that doesn't mean it won't be a total car crash... but I honestly think that is probably going to be the only way the PLP can get rid of him....... unfortunately for them that will mean a lot of them losing their jobs!

Shadow Health Secretary – Diane Abbott
You just made that up to amuse everyone. Emily Thornberry, the one who lost her job for flaunting her outright contempt for exactly the same trad-Labour voters who just voted for Brexit? Nah, Corbyn couldn't be that stupid. Oh wait, it's on the BBC. Lordy.Appointments
Shadow Foreign Secretary – Emily Thornberry

The current party is quickly becoming so tainted that it's becoming synonymous with incompetency. I
Labour has always been synonymous with incompetence... based on the support of fools. They claim to be the party of the "working man". And yet every Labour government since WWII has left office with unemployment higher than when they took office. These fools keep voting for them.
Only a complete thicko would believe that they represent the "working man" when they always create non-working men (and women).
Perhaps they understand the mentality of men who would prefer to earn more money watching Jeremy Kyle than doing a productive job.
Eagle urged by her own party members to support Jeremy after she quit in protest:
