I've always had a liking for a Breitling Cosmonaute, mainly because of the novelty of the 24 hour dial. Ideally stainless steel with a black leather strap and the date window. A local Breitling agent watch shop has a 'pre-owned' section, and a Cosmonaute has been in the window for about 2.5 months and not sold. I've been in and inspected it. It looks pretty good, is basically the model I want, and has the box and papers. The only thing I don't like is the gold outer rim which looks a bit naff on a technical watch in my opinion. They're asking £2750 with a one year guarantee and it hasn't sold. Any guidance on what I should offer? Thanks.

P.S. Edit: Somehow the subject line got scrambled and I can't change it. Should be Breitling Cosmonaute obviously.

Which Cosmonaute? They started making them in 1962, so it covers a LOT of watches.

I believe it's a D22322 from ~2002. Gold rim with date window.

Price seems to be 'about right' from a quick search on Chrono24, but as someone else said, don't buy a watch you don't REALLY like, you'll only want to be rid of it and take a hit.

Wait for an all stainless one.

Good advice - thanks. I've been wanting one for a long time so waiting a bit longer won't matter.
