Morning!

The house we just moved into currently runs on huge horrid 80's electric night storage heaters.

We will be installing a full central heating system in a few years (at same time as extension), so I don’t want a permanent solution, im just wondering what the best type of wall mounted electric heater is. Remember, this is only to last me a few years, so don’t want the best of the best.

Im thinking something like this, is this my best option?

Thanks

Why spend money on something thats not broken and is geting binned soon anyway?
Save the money and buy the central heating sooner.

Because they look not too un-similar to this:

And I REALLY don't want to look at them for the next 5 years.

Doing the CH sooner is out, we have no services so will be getting a biomass or oil boiler installed in the new part of the extended house.

worth checking out gumtree etc for s/h storage heaters they come up regularly and generally don't fetch that much (compared to the £300-500 new cost) and will be more efficient to run.

We had similar night storage heaters and my advice is to switch them off!

The are expensive and very, very ineffective - hot in the morning and cold in the evening - complete waste of time and money.

I'd suggest a few of these:

Keep the doors closed and only use in the rooms you use.
