Swansea Airshow, Camping???

Thinking of heading over to this for the weekend, I am looking for a cheap campsite ideally walking distance to Mumbles etc. Taking a caravan and probably the dog.

so far all i have found is campsite with swimming pools! Parking and Electrics would be nice but not essential.

I am not aware of any sites within walking distance of the Mumbles, most are on the other side of the Gower.

There's a cracking ite near Three Cliffs - but you'd have to drive to Mumbles.

Great facilities - decent bar, fantastic new shower / toilet block etc.

We camped there when it was minus temperatures outside and were the only tent on site!

Thanks Guys, looked into it and think the only option is the Caravan Club site at Gowerton and using the train or driving there and back.

Given the hassle and that we have to book and pay for the campsite we will play it by ear. Weather could be dreadful and booking a campsite will waste a weekend at home if we choose to go. Its not RIAT (Fairford) after all!

If you stay in Gowerton
The train takes you to Swansea station
Then it's approx 3 - 4 mile walk

Is there anything to stop you parking/camping in the council car parks on Oystermouth Road?

Probably going to do RNAS Yoevilton on Saturday and then day trip Swansea on Sunday.
