FT reporting RBS to introduce charges for holding cash from money.

Negative interest rate saving has finally arrived.

Brilliant.
Perhaps you didn't read the article correctly or chose to post what you interpreted the article stated.

What it actually said was that RBS is to charge some large corporate customers for holding their money.
RBS has written to certain financial institutions in its investment banking division to warn them it will apply negative interest rates from Monday, according to the FT.

So certainly at the moment it has no impact on Joe Public.

You should try reading articles correctly, and then you'll avoid posting nonsense that suits your bias.

Read my post again - edited before your post - and the article - families next?

I'm sure the affected businesses are delighted.

Do you rule it out happening more broadly?
Your post was not edited before my response, what I quoted was as it appeared at the time of my post.

I'm quite sure the businesses who have received the communication from RBS are less than delighted and could possibly take their business elsewhere, so potentially an own goal from RBS.

I'd imagine Joe Public's reaction to a similar threat from RBS would get short shrift and as others (including yourself) have stated would result in a loss of business to RBS.

So in conclusion and as is often the case, your doom laden messages are of little consequence and were hardly worth your effort.

Patronised?

Dear God!

We Leavers have been told that we are thick, uneducated, racist, lowerr class, unemployed bigots.

Dr Jekyll has illustrated various things that Leavers have been accused of. They are all false accusations. You should apologise on behalf of your fellow countrymen.

It really is a sad day when an Irishman has more pride in Britain than an Englishman.

PH doesn't tolerate racism and quite right too.

Start a post with something racist here and you'll likely get a ban.

And since, WTF does he actually do? Apart from wander about at festivals made up like a "right on" tt, I mean.

Why does this st that people who voted remain don't have pride or confidence in their country keep on coming up?

It's just as much bks and as patronising as calling leave voters thick and uneducated.

It seems you struggle to remember what you said or typed - rather frequently!

hehe

With respect, Derek, if ever there was a pure definition of the term 'The Pot Calling the kettle Black', the above sentence must be near the top of the list!
Point to one sentence of mine that was patronising.

That excludes all those in reply to support for the £350m a week.

It really is a sad day when an Irishman has more pride in Britain than an Englishman.
That's gobbledygook, the last sentence particularly so. Is this Irishman from NI, in which case he may well take great pride in being British but never English. Or do you suggest that someone from the Republic has more pride in a part of the UK than any other Englishman/British person? I ask about the required apology later.

It is true that many, even possibly the majority, of voters were of what has been called lower classes. However, I'm certain no one has ever suggested that those terms apply to all those who voted to leave. I am certain that some people believed the £350m but I'm not sure thick, uneducated, racist, lower class or unemployed bigots applies to all them. Many people believe what they want to believe.

By the way, I'm (at least) half Irish. So whom should I apologise to and what for?

On top of that, why should I apologise for a whole country in any case?

That was a bemusing post.

So there's no difference between "only the stupid voted leave" and "all out voters are stupid"? These are the quotes used by jj. I provided links to the first which suddenly had to be "evidence" for the second - seems his memory is somewhat blurred. I notice you suddenly stopped posting on the u-turn thread - too much truth, or were you banned?

Those are the goalposts moved. Which tanks are you referring to?

Not forgetting that the Prime Minister of the country said it was the best deal we'd get, the chancellor said he would call an emergency budget to raise taxes across the board immediately following a "Leave" vote and of course we had the US president saying that "Britain would be at the back of the queue" for any trade deal.

So basically the fear of economic armageddon, which of course may well yet appear although it's looking increasingly unlikely.

Talk of people being uninformed and duped into voting out is only as valid as claiming that Remain voters were mislead by the establishment and now want to change their vote to Leave. Almost two months after the results and some people still can't get it.

No remainer has ever said "only stupid people voted leave".

The first phrase you use "only the stupid voted leave" implies 100% of leave voters are stupid.

The second phrase "all out voters are stupid" also implies 100% of leave voters are stupid.

What is the material difference?

And the links you posted that I bothered reading didn't even say that either - you are aware your first link was a joke page? It was clearly listed under "satire" in the URL. I expect you'll deploy your reverse gears now as usual.

You're in the army and don't know the famous joke about tanks and reverse gears? Ask your Sergeant, he'll know smile

Finally I've not been banned ever on PH as far as I know. I try hard to avoid making any insults or posting anything unacceptable. I realise that some have had more trouble, with it seems one famous brexiteer having a ban for starting a post that was a bit too racist, but it seems thankfully rare. The U turn thread does seem that have dropped from the radar recently, it might return once the q3 figures are out, but who knows - the july figures are contradicting the early low pmi data. We'll have to see.

We also need to remember that we haven't actually left yet. We don't have an exit plan and article 50 hasn't been triggered.

If there is no change when article 50 is triggered that will be great. We don't know what will happen.

The only real change to date is sterling falling, good for some bad for others, if it takes another hit when we leave we will have less clout in the world.

He really wasn't, the difference was between "some" and "all".

Your quotes - which you imply cleariy you think are different were both "all".

Find a Sgt then, or any warrant officer. You must know some!

I posted some info to answer the above, which was responded to below:

You can keep going as many days as you want, nothing in any of those links says that 'all out voters are stupid'. Not even close. You do understand the difference?
You show a link to answer a question, then the question gets changed and then the master of misquotes argues about it pages and pages later. laugh

Is it a secret joke that only Sgts and WOs know about? Intriguing. Perhaps you just made it up or "maybe" heard it somewhere.

You are saying things that are true, can be evidenced and are put logically. So I'm afraid, apart from me, everyone will ignore it.
