Anyone give a toss about Gibraltar's future?

Except it is. A member of their club wants it to be, and now it is, weather we want it to be or not.
It's one of the down sides of not being part of that club anymore.
Now I'm sure the UK government will do its best, but it has hardly any cards to play, and you shouting and swearing about it won't change that.
It's just mildly amusing.
You're out of your depth - step away from the keyboard! It's one of the down sides of not being part of that club anymore.

Weather? Tremble in your boots lads, one of the least literate posters in these parts has spoken, it must be true..
Or maybe not, I don't think Spain attempting to assume control over Gibraltar is likely to end well.
They have found a way to get some sort of influence over the issue, and you can't blame them for taking it
Maybe controversial but why doesn't England just be England? Do whatever they want, leave Gibraltar, Falklands, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and whoever else alone to do their own thing.
The days of colonies have long expired.
Let's be honest, the UK is just a stty little amalgamation who conquered other nations years ago where people have been brainwashed to think that it's something special. We are nothing and the world can survive without us.

It time we started to realise all these wkers making threats are nobodies. Spain is fked, well and truly, just look at the stats for the economy. We as Brits should now say fk them. Don't spend your pounds there, go on holiday somewhere else, don't buy Spanish produce in the shops, let is fking rot and let Tesco throw it away.
Same for any country that wants to start waving their billy big balls about.
There's plenty more places to get your tapas and plenty of sunny places with British pubs to take your hols in.
Spain, st em.
You do realise Al Murray is a fictional - satirical comedy character, right? Same for any country that wants to start waving their billy big balls about.

Strange that you want to emulate him.

I thunk you mean 'idiotic nonsense' rather than 'controversial'?!The days of colonies have long expired.

Do you think that's what the people in those countries actually want?!

Perhaps Morocco should make a claim for the Canary Islands, or we could provide assistance to the Basque separatists.
To me if the EU hold this position with Spain then it is time to just declare the negotiations over, Gibraltar's sovereignty is non negotiable and we crash out of the EU.
I have a sneaky feeling that would result in a bit of a rethink and Germany may well tell Spain to wind it's neck in.

This is true. Go and educate yourself. The uk isn't half of what the U.K. At one time they controlled half the world. Now we are nothing. But we Are taught to be. Think about it logically. The uk is a small little island nation. Why is it significant? It's not. .

I think it a shame that so far i think we have been quite reasonable and realistic in our approach to brexit, whereas the EU have been threatening, accusing, and inflammatory (both before and during tne start of this process).
By including Gibralta, tney are playing games.
I'd prefer May stands in front of the EU and state that Gibralta is not part of tnis, and if the EU insist on including it, she's off home with the negotiating team.
And she'll be happy to resume talks when they stop f'ing around.
Tne EU really are a group of unpleasant jumped up self importants.
