Has Cameron stated that he will not stand for re-election?

I reckon it will be Osborne.

Osborne has already said he won't stand. I didn't think he would after last week, he has no allies and is disliked by more than he is liked. Plus there was that brexit thing.

You think Cameron would stand in the relection?

Depends on whether his lucrative new job in the City depends on him ensuring that his prospective employers have unfettered access to the EU or not and whether he is prepared to trust his current colleques not to screw it up for him.

Personally I think he will sit back, watch the chaos and "allow" himself to be talked into carrying on. I certainly wouldn't leave my financial future and my family's security in the hands of the buffoons currently in Westminster and I see no reason for Cameron to do so either.

I reckon they're all dead ducks save for BoJo and the Kadasian May.
But the thing about Cameron above is making me get the crackpot theory out...if it looks like a sneak deal done to not do clause 50 happens...it's not impossible that he may consider sliming back.

May. BoJo has made enemies with his latest caper.

May is reported in tomorrow's Independent as saying Boris or Gove could be her Minister for Brexit. Genius move from the PoV of the party. Turns his triumph into a one trick pony skill; if it goes well for him he has a chance at the leadership in the future, and if it doesn't it's his failure not hers.

Do you honestly think the salary Cameron gets as PM is at all significant to his financial security? laugh

If BoJo's bid is endorsed by Gove, surely he will win.

I'd have liked to see David Davis in the running.

Surely the question should be:

Whose career does the Tory party want to permanently ruin by making them PM?

Don't all political careers end in failure?

It's about the salary he expects to get from his next job. The one in the City. That he won't get if his current colleagues screw the negotiations up.

Indeed

PM for at least 4 years until there needs to be a next general election doesn't sound much like failure to me.

Cameron was the person who will go down in history as taking us out of the EU.

I would have been very happy if Andrea Leadsom was elected, although it won't happen. It might even actually make me want to vote conservative next time around.

This country will be a laughing stock if Boris makes PM. He has shown his true colours of late.

Fine when he was putting a few bikes in London but I wouldn't trust him to arrange a shag in a brothel.

Even if another mans wife was involved?
