Proto-fascist dictator hehe given its origins that translates as not a dripping wet taxmad pseudo liberal nannyist spendaholic.

Here's half-hoping that Trump doesn't get elected as potus later this year, there may not be enough blood in the NHS to cope with the Guardianista popped blood vessels, and I would never wish harm on anyone even Juncker.

Not that there are so many Guardianistas, it's the simultaneous popping that would be a challenge for blood banks.

The other half-hope is that he is elected, for all the expected reasons unrelated to health.

Is Trump still an elected MEP? As in "getting paid to be an MEP rather than stumping for Trump"?
Trump is not an MEP.
Apologies, I was getting my proto-fascist dictators mixed up biggrin
Damn right you have.

He does not need to say anything. The sheer hatred and disgust for the 'crowd' is displayed all over his sneering face. What a poster boy for Brexit.

The quote is from a satirical magazine, Schulz never said anything of the sort.

Sorry Derek, unacceptable. I still await to read a creditworthy quote where he specifically says, or even hints, that he would intend to spend that money on the NHS. Or are we still under the rules governing allegations of sexual assault where to accuse proves guilt? It just won't do I'm afraid to put words one would have liked him to have said in his mouth. After all, he has hardly been hiding when speaking has he? Every syllable he utters is scribbled down for posterity - just as well isn't it?
Maybe you'd like to apply your own standards to quotes reinforcing your thoughts?

This seems a theme of the campaign. Make up any old nonsense to demonise the EU and it gets lapped up without question.

What is unfortunate are what I increasingly feel are the real motives behind the likes of Farage and others when they do this. A lot of it is clearly about "foreigners".

Farage married a 'foreigner'. So what do you think his motives are?

The so-called quote attributed to Schultz was published all over the place.
It was rather obvious he wouldn't be 'that' blunt! He's not a fool.

However, he 'did' state these few sentences on hearing the ref. result.

'For 40 yrs UK relation with EU was ambiguous.'
'Now it's clear. Will of voters must be respected. Now need speedy & clear exit negotiation.'

Ambiguous? - was it, why did he not mention this prior to the vote?

It just proves how totally pissed off he was with the result. Just like Remanians here.

However, I do agree with him on his last three sentences ...totally.

How about you remoaners...
I do hope that you all agree with him? (don't be shy!) biggrin

I'd be happy to if you would tell me where I have misreported what any individual has said. My post concerning Farage was to do with the false attribution to him of invented words on the NHS. The poster I was addressing has not yet responded, unlike him, and I await his reply with interest as he has always kindly done so in the past. Not unreasonable? HTH

The fact that Farage married a german doesn't nullify his irrational dislike of his chosen "other foreigners".

He's been banging on about the wrong kind of foreigners for years. You will have seen his arguably racist posters.

He's learned (well) how to dress up his racism in a way that doesn't seem unacceptable and has found a way to give it alarming broader appeal.

This has been a barely suppressed streak in UKIP for a long time - remember Bloom hitting that reporter with his UKIP brochure as it only had white faces on it?

No, it was to get a competent German worker to be his secretary as there were no suitable Brits for the role.

She must be exceptionally competent. When the dastardly EU stopped MEPs from employing family members she was fortunate enough to get a job with...... another UKIP MEP! What are the odds??

Snout, meet trough.....
