A possible sighting at a second barracks of two men wanted over an attempted abduction close to RAF Marham is being investigated.

It follows a reported sighting near Colchester Garrison in Essex.

It specifically say that this "Sighting" has nothing to do with any other "Sighting"

Are the BBC and Pistonheads members going to post every time someone who isn't caucasian is seen within a given radius of a military base because that will be a full time job.

good hunting there chaps, think 3rd para at the moment, unless there have been any escapes in which case it'll get messy.

No, never, always locked away in the armoury.
I beg to differ. As does my Grandfather who was only alive because he carried his weapon home each night, so when two "kindly gents" attempted to grab him, he was able to defend himself.....
Hmmmm? I'm happy to be proved wrong, but I've never heard of anybody taking their weapons home with them. Are you sure your Grandfather isn't telling you old soldiers porkies?

Certainly sounds like it smile

There are plenty of serving, and ex-serving mebers of the forces, and I'll bet none of them have taken their weapons home. Carry a used bullet case home and you would be in deep st!

I am surprised they didn't track them down quickly - in that part of Norfolk, anyone who isn't white without webbed fingers does tend to stand out a bit.

No doubt the resourceful communities of these two individuals will do the right thing & shop them. Really hope they do.
Absolutely, every single person in that community finds these type of things abhorrent.
Genuine question - which community are they from? Looking at the e-fit/skin tone they could be from anywhere between Bogota and Bangladesh...

As stated above. That community.

The 5 miles of death sounds pretty easy , surely they must have to run longer than that ?

Paras have to do 10 miles with a 35 rucksack and weapon , marines have to do 9 miles in full kit in 90 mins.
Plus a few other things - the 9-miler is the easy one! wink

Thing is, if the Instructor is comparing their 5-miler to P-Coy and the Cdo Tests then you wonder what else there is that's more difficult in Gunner training...

biggrin - look over there in Bogota.

The truth, as you well know, is much closer to home and will soon land. I'd start with all the mosques for these middle -eastern types.

How exactly do you know "the truth" about what happened and who the supposed abductors are?

Are you privy to more information than the police have, or have released to the public, or, as I suspect, are you just speculating?

"Police have issued descriptions of the two suspects involved.
One is described as between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 6ft (1.81m) tall, of athletic but stocky build, with dark hair, long on top, and a well-groomed beard. He was of Middle Eastern appearance with dark skin and wore dark casual clothing.
The other is said to be around the same age but younger than the first suspect and of a slimmer build, 5ft 10ins (1.78m) tall, and clean shaven with short dark hair. He was also of Middle Eastern appearance and wore a white T-shirt and dark shorts".

Much closer to home, not South America smile

So, to ask the same question again, which "community" is that one? The Pakistani community? Bengali? Turkish? Syrian? Kurd? Egyptian? The "people between 5ft 10 and 6ft" community?

Not sure how you get away with the comments you do M. st stirrer as you've always been.

Why do you think you'd find them in a mosque? Judging by recent atrocities, they aren't really the mosque types are they? Just as likely to be seen at your local working men's club me thinks.

Yes... because the typical conversation in the working mens club revolves around plotting jihad and abducting British servicemen hehe
