No, it's much worse than that. What they're attempting to do is to goad the "Romans" (the west, in their eyes) into a battle at the town of Dabiq in Syria. Such a battle will herald the beginning of the end times. Here's the relevant hadith.The hadith said:

I haven't seen the video, but I imagine that if the guys who tried to lift that airman yesterday were asked they would tell you they are British.
Not withstanding that alot of German, British etc etc went to the ME to fight for the "cause" so to tell anyone apart could be difficult. However I have an open mind as to the culprits and with so much conflicting information I will await the final report and hope it hasn't been fudged
