The Facebook post mentioned in that report was apparently a a fake post claiming that McDonalds was giving away free food at a specific time and shared to the attackers FB friends. The suggestion is that it was a deliberate attempt to lure them there for this attack.

There's some speculation that he had set out to get revenge on some of his peer group who had been bullying him.

Anyway, pic now posted up of him. He looks really baby-faced and 'very' young but then he was only 18.

Is it just me, but said yesterday the guy did not 'look' 18. Just looked at the vid again, he is not a small guy, seems older, well built, stocky and had a 'stance' when aiming that gun like he was no novice. Of course a pic means nowt, but do we know the suspect's height and build?

He was born in Germany (parents arrived in Germany in the 1990s) and it's widely reported that he was something of a loner who was bullied. Not beyond the realms to think he was taunted with claims that he wasn't a proper German so tried to prove it by attacking what he saw as foreigners?
