What happens to cults that predict the end of the world after it turns out they were wrong and it didn't end?

Do they pack it all in, or arrange another date, or what?

For most of this year it seems many many doomsdayers are predicting the return of niburu or some such made up load of old tosh name? "apparently" we have a second dark sun or some such until now hidden lurker and another planet on some orbit that will come close to earth in March 2016, or it could be the dark sun, or even a roast potato the silly cow on the youtube video kept contradicting herself. Anyway March came and went as did the videos to be replaced by more saying it was April / May 2016 now. As the end of May approached the videos started saying August. I guess the planet and sun that the "expert astronomers" had been following must have slowed down in the orbits (obviously as that happens to planets all the time)

So I guess August will see us all die as the poles flip and the extreme gravitational effect of the hidden sun and new planet will all of a sudden tear our little;e planet apart out of the blue as we are all eating our coco pops for breakfast. Still it will mean i don't have to worry about the mortgage I spose?

Problem is some people actually believe all of this doomsday twaddle.

I don't know, I can see Armageddon being very bad for house prices. What about negative equity?
