"The Syrian man entered Germany two years ago and had his asylum claim rejected a year ago.
He had been given leave to stay temporarily given the situation in his home country and provided with an apartment in Ansbach.......the man had been known to have tried to take his own life twice and had spent time in a psychiatric clinic".
"We don't know if this man planned on suicide or if he had the intention of killing others,"

fking Deluded.

Yes and a gift for extreme parties , its all very nice for insulated politcians to "help" but they don't know what some of these people are and then when they find out still give them the benefit of the doubt .. at the expense of their society ..
It won't end well .......

I find it very interesting how this suicide bombing (for that is what it is) is being reported by the media. The German Govt is in full-on propaganda management mode as everyone is being told 'motives are not clear' and he 'detonated an explosive device'.

No mention of suicide bombing whatsoever.

Quite, BBC5 Live just reported it well down the running order (after Philip Green, after Chris Froome, "his motive is not yet known", almost nothing to see here move on. But you need only to go on Twitter and search #Ansbach to get a feel for what's really going on.

"Can anyone imagine 3 attacks in a week were done by white native germans?
Would you talk about their mental health or...?

"The #Ansbach bomber's intended target was an open-air music festival, but vigilant security turned him away."

"What we know #Ansbach:
- 12 people injured
- 2,500 evacuated from festival
- Bomber: 27year-old Syrian asylum seeker (application failed)"

"#Ansbach: police say the bomb contained nails, investigations are ongoing whether this attack is linked to ISIS"

"Security expert says style of attack suggests #Ansbach attacker had some 'technical assistance' #Germany"

"@BBCBreakfast In Ansbach there is the USAG @GarrisonAnsbach facility ! The gateway for the US Army to Afghanistan, with Grafenwöhr trainarea!"

Is "technical assistance" polite code of ISIS now?

Meanwhile BBC 5 Live want to talk about Philip Green's knighthood....

Not really. A broad-based desire to understand how and why the teen did what he did is a sign of a certain level of collective intelligence, and a sign that people care about the others that make up the community.

Your response on the other hand...

A German "security expert" - Apparently the (latest) bomber tried to commit suicide twice last year, and was hospitalised for mental illness, there's a record of drug use, petty crime. They are wondering how he could construct the sophisticated device (nail bomb) while living in the refugee centre.

There seems to be an awful lot of "mental illness" manifesting itself to look like terrorism at the moment. Is this a processing problem for Western European liberals perhaps, akin "but why would they mean such harm, because we're so nice and liberal? He (and it's always men) must be mental"

Indeed. I almost posted my comment above in the biased BBC thread, however as it is pervading across many media outlets I'm guessing everyone is 'on message' from source at the moment.
