do we have laws in place for internment for those suspected of plotting terrorism?
You want laws in place for someone being suspected of something? Take a second and think about that. TTwiggy said:

I'm beginning to think this might not actually be 'The religion of peace' as it turns out.
There was quite a good comparison posted somewhere comparing Jesus to the other guy (not sure if I'm allowed to mention him by name), it was quite eye opening what had been written in respective holy books. Here is the link again if anyone wants to have a read. Nothing hateful, only the bare facts. The religions speak for themselves.

With response to your comments about defending Islam. With the greatest respect to your departed friend, i'm sure he was a lovely human being. The problem is not with the man, nor with any Muslim, but with actions condoned within their faith.

Ban religion, even if it could be done like in Soviet, would perhaps not be the best option, but to bring religion into modern time is a must. Not that long ago christian priests advocated the burning of witches, that is no longer the case, so it can be done.
It can't be done with Islam. andymc said:

Why is it less and less the case? There are 100s of millions of Muslims worldwide and these are the odd Nutkin in comparison. Even if you go with the CIA 100,000 figure that still means 99.9994% of the Muslim population aren't supporters.
I think your 99.9994% figure is out by an order of magnitude.I also think, unless you're referring to a different figure, that the 100k you're referring to is for members of IS in Iraq and Syria. I'm not sure what the Muslim population of Iraq and Syria is, but I'm pretty sure it's less than the worldwide Muslim population.
The figure is the estimate that the CIA have who are ISIS combatants worldwide. It has nothing to do with the Iraqi or Syrian population who are mostly not ISIS supporters.

As for the old gentleman Priest in the Church, my thoughts are with his family and friends. Tragic!
Wonder how the Locals will look on the Migrant camps now at their borders?
Will we see a heavy shift to the far right?
This event will not cause a shift to the far left. What will is Hollande's failure to pull France's various intelligence and police services close enough together so that become efffective in preventing attacks.Wonder how the Locals will look on the Migrant camps now at their borders?
Will we see a heavy shift to the far right?
