What a pathetic wishy washy response.
It has nothing to do with Brexit, it's because Americans are annoyed with two terms of Obama promising everything and doing nothing.

Except Obama currently has an approval rating of 58% which is huge for a president at this point in his term. A lot of people who voted for Obama and think he's done a good job have gone out and voted for Trump. Seems a bit odd, but that's what's happened.

56% according to Gallup.
But you have to question why they didn't want more of the same with Hillary?

Because they're asshats?

To be honest, you'd go down the pub with Obama though, wouldn't you? He's quite a cool guy, whatever his politics.

Trump, he's an unmitigated asshat... If you were on a bus, you'd PRAY he didn't sit next to you.

Mrs C, well, she's just a bit boring...

Seems more Americans want an asshat in charge than a boring woman...

Tells you a lot about the American psyche I think, as Brexit did about the British one. People don't take politics seriously any more - They know that whoever they vote for things will stay pretty much the same (of course, they may now die in a nuclear winter, but heh hoh) and that banks and businesses will still get away with not paying taxes, whilst they do and that their kids will still get killed at school because some idiots think lunatics have a God given right to buy a semi-auto Armalite at the local Walmart.

Politicians have lost people's faith and trust and now the voters are just taking the piss... Who'd want to be a pollster now either...? Anyone remember the last thing they got right?

M

I know Gallup basically didn't bother with the Presidential election as they said it was a waste of time.

I wonder if this counts as the "Fake News" that The Guardian warned us about:
