PH I need a bit of advice as I'm selling my R53 Mini.

The car has just passed it's MOT this morning, with 3 advisories but it has some known faults. Im picking up a new lease Mini on 15th Aug, so I'm looking to get rid of this one and use the money to clear my credit card.

The premise was to list on Ebay and list the faults below and hope to get a £1000 for it.

Will eventually need a new clutch and flywheel
Air Con compressor failed
Passenger side window regulator is faulty wont seal the window correctly

Would it be worth servicing it or just advertise it as is and then see what I get for it? I think in good nick they go around the £1800+ mark but mine is a good colour combo, quite clean and lowish mileage around the 85k for a 14 year old car.

Bung it on ebay or some local facebook selling group. The advert depends on how honest you want to be. What's the symptoms with the clutch and flywheel?

And what are WBAC offering?

Air con - plenty of people won't be bothered about this on a 14 year old car. Plenty of first gen MINI's were sold without aircon anyway.
Passenger side window regulator - Common fault and a fairly easy DIY fix
'Will eventually need new clutch and flywheel' - Well, all cars will at some point! How bad is it?

The clutch is very heavy, and can be sometimes tricky to select a gear. A BMW Specialist took a look and the mechanic said it needed one, but I dont know if he checked the slave/master cylinder. Issue is I cannot get under the car to check.

I might look at WBAC then as an option.

Just sold the car through WBAC this afternoon. Smooth process and got the money I wanted as well.

Got just over a grand. Knowing that a new clutch/flywheel is around £800, plus needs a few extra bits thought that was a fair price.

Cars in good nick are starting around the £2k mark so thought selling through ebay would have got me the same amount as WBAC.
