I bet they were saying the same when the UK last had an election. There just doesn't seem to be any electable politicians these days but what you gonna do about it eh?

As opposed to Comrade Corbyn king of the loony militant "everybody out!" left, or May who would happily fit thought control chips to everybody and makes Thatcher look like Florence Nightingale

kim jong-il would be more desirable than these two ***hats

The thing is, a good sensible quiet bloke or woman, who does their job honestly and professionally wouldn't get the votes.

Only spin and razzmatazz wins elections.

I suspect the 'shift' comment was aimed at the thread title.

So you don't think H Clinton has ever lied in office?

Her ineptitude [and that is being generous] as Sec of State should have led to her impeachment and trial for the loss of life not nomination.

"As Secretary of State in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2013, Clinton responded to the Arab Spring, during which she advocated the U.S. military intervention in Libya and accepted responsibility for security lapses in the 2012 Benghazi attack. Leaving office after Obama's first term, she wrote her fifth book and undertook speaking engagements before announcing her second presidential run in the 2016 election."

No, she's a politician so there will have been many porkies of varying degrees of size.

The thing I think that is being referred to is the fact that so much political discussion round here seems to devolve to amusing name calling of the sort done by children in the 3rd year

Except it's HiLIEry instead of Smellary

But the title misses the point.
You don't have to be living in America for either of these two to have a significantly negative impact on your lifestyle. Admittedly Trump will probably change things globally for the worse whereas Clinton will stuff more of the USA....

Living in America is frankly, fking amazing. I have lived and travelled all over the world. Nothing is like America.

On a daily basis the BBC publishes blatant lies, the sad part is that so many people in Britain believe the bullst. The liberal bias of the BBC and mainstream media is no coincidence. The media around the world are socially engineering people to the aspirations of the globalists.
I too have lived abroad in a couple of countries. The weird thing is watching local events through local media, & then seeing the same story reported by BBC World. The bias is utterly astonishing!!! The worst has to be Radio 4, closely followed by Newsnight.

I have visited the US several times, mostly East coast, Florida, NY & various points between. Loved the place!

I'm British and I live in the US and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Most Americans are great generous people. Donald a Trump is a temporary aberration and after November we can forget all about him.

Oh I drive a Jagwaar and a Benz. One thing that Americans don't do well is cars although I once had a Camaro SS and it went very fast in a straight line.

Unfortunately what you see and read on the media and the internet is nowhere near the truth of what it is actually like. Instead of trash talking about another country because of jealously, make your country better. You left the EU. Congratulations, that is a start.

I have been here for nearly 10 years and I have lived in different regions.

Over that time, I have witnessed the democrats spreading their disease of liberalism. Before and when I came here, I believed in the "hope and change." I am ashamed to say I was a democrat supporter.

As for Killary. She is a war criminal. Anyone else would not get away with the sickening crimes she has commited. I do not believe the polls. I still to this day have not met anyone in person who have said, they support or are voting for Killary. I have not seen one bumper sticker for her. I have seen a small handful of Bernie Sanders bumper stickers, that's it.

Everyone i've spoken to supports Trump. It is about time we (The U.S.) took care of ourselves. Stick your globalism up your arse.

Unless you have lived in the U.S. for a considerable length of time, you are not an informed individual on the matter, as many on here think.

Liberty or death. Long live the republic.
Wow! Before reading your post I was happy in my belief that the stereotype of the rabid republican was way off the mark. I've met quite a few Americans and found them pleasant. Most have praised the BBC. Those I'm still in contact with feel ashamed of Trump's diatribes.

Liberal bias of the mainstream media?

Wow!

You never watched Fox News whilst in the States?
