Took me a second read to work out if it was a spoof.
When even The Guardian's comments section turns on you, you know you've done fked it uphttps://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/sep...

We're not perfect but Britain is one of the best places for black people (and anyone else) to live.
We've burnt a lot of coal in last 250 years but we also led the charge in abolishing slavery and relinquished power to the colonies with proportionately less bloodshed than European neighbours
These idiots seem to have stole the Black lives matter hashtag from the US (where there is some justification for the cause) and reverse engineered a grievance to fit the catchphrase

Absolute bonkers today. My flight to City was cancelled this morning. I ended up getting put on a BA flight to Heathrow four hours late. Now back at City and its chaos. Most flights delayed and the airport is rammed. Why are these aholes not being charged for this?
Because they are black and would play the race card.Lock them up anyway, i here guantanamo's empty
Am I the only one who gets irritated not just the the unjustified cost and hassle these guys cause but also by the UK arm of BLM diluting their purpose with these stupid rent a protest activities? They seem to have been completely hijacked by the UK's usual protest suspects.
I mean, if you have problem with excessive air travel, perhaps might make sense to focus on a tourist airport rather than one where a very high proportion of the travel is business ( ie no fun for the traveler, and potentially earning income and tax take for the UK). In any case- this is the job of Plane Stupid or whatever they call themselves.
Net result of this nonsense, added to earlier support of Duggan, is to just turn BLM UK into an irrelevant irritation. And that is actually not a good thing. There is plenty of race prejudice to fight against here-deaths in police custody for example (and am not judging who is at fault for these- but it should be out in the open)? Discrimination in employment? etc etc
And that is what BLM should be on about.

That Guardian article is depressingly misleading: it has link in the text saying that Britain is the biggest contributor per capita to global temperature change.
If really want to be annoyed- follow the link( A clue- the linked article is actually about a now finished past when the UK was a great industrial power and China etc were nowhere) and has nothing to do with todays' emissions which we can actually influence.

What would the response have been if they had got onto Heathrow? Safe to say the response at City was pathetic, but how about at one of the busiest airports in the world? Assuming they would get on in the first place.
I'd like to think they would be torn down as quickly as humanly possible, regardless of Health & Safety, but now I'm not so sure.

So the BLM terrorist organisation (yes, they are a criminal terrorist organisation in the US at least) have gone a bit soft, and are now worried about climate change?
What a collective waste of oxygen this lot are
No, the do gooding, white, English BLM supporters who are hanging onto the coat tails of what is a genuine (thought somewhat misguided, I feel) American movement have gone a bit soft, or indeed, always were. What a collective waste of oxygen this lot are
