The SJW's and JTRIG lot have been trying to shut down real conversations here for a while now.
So it's a conspiracy of some sort to to "shut down real conversations" rather than that possibly the sort of conversations some people want to have aren't the kind that Haymarket want their site associated with?Sparkyhd said:

I disagree, the last thing this forum needs is literal point scoring. People begin playing to the points system instead of saying what they really mean, which creates even more polarized opinions.Like

There does seem to be a lot more censorship of minor issues on this forum these days.

what's the betting this gets censored ?
The rise of social media hasn't helped things. I've said it before when people post something on facebook or twitter and get a few likes they immediately assume that their opinion is the correct one and if you don't follow it then you're completely in the wrong.
They should teach kids in primary school that sometimes in life other people will have different views and opinions to themselves.

Perhaps you should through this short thread again, perhaps it will become clearer the second time round.

1.How do you know that the guy has reported posts is it an assumption ? Is it because in the past he says he will and then they are shut down - if so that would point to him being responsible but it wouldn't be clear proof so moving onto point
2 Are you a mod ifs o do you know he has reported posts. If you are a mod shouldn't you behave with some decorum and not post about people that have reported posts
If you take a look back you can see why I am asking those questions. If you are a moderator then to be blunt perhaps you should consider reporting yourself or better still giving up on being one as if you are then it shows you to be indiscreet
There is enough favouritism shown on here without unnecessary jumping through hoops. A poster on the first page gets it spot on when he says PH the place for the morally offended and pious. One poster on here who is on way too much is the most self righteous pious character I have come across in a long time. He is a also a hypocrite as was shown in the Cox Murder thread. Yet he seems to be adored where others will be sanctioned.

For what it's worth I didn't report the legoland thread, I generally give short shrift to SJW types and have little interest in closing down discussions.
I made an exception in that particular thread as I thought the subject matter was way too recent for the 'humour' involved. Frankie Boylesque comedy catharsis only works if you are genuinely funny. If not it makes you look like an absolute st of the highest order. And my original point was that the comments were tasteless. The fact it escalated from there was largely a product of forum ping pong.
As to the mod policy; its haymarkets playground, not fhe self regulating Wild West that example Usenet as was back in the day. When they close down a thread my impression isn't that it's down to PC or what have you. It's usually because they would rather not have to deal with the st PR that especially NPE could generate (see the Calais madness thread as an example).

Ok my two cents, as far as i can see the problem is based on the illusion that we all have an inflated sense of self-importance, there is currently ver 7 billion humans on plant earth so we are either equally important or equally pointless. eitherway getting bent out of shape by he said she said just seems a waste of a relatively short amount of time we're given. People have a skewed sense of what is injust too. actions can be offensive, words with intent can be offensive both rightly so but in the case of opening your gob without thinking?? lighten up.
