People will be allowed to succeed on their merit, not whether they meet the criteria on a tick sheet.

It raises an interesting point, white male working class boys are now least likely to go to university. Has the tick box culture failed them?
We wouldn't know if we hadn't counted them as white working class boys somewhere. But maybe they just don't pay attention in school because they are always being told they will get paid more than mothers anyway.

Female working class boys on the other hand have an even harder time of it as shown on here, just making a point as you seem to ensure you were only referring to white male working class boys
rofl

Well excuse my oppression, how silly of me to exclude female boys. What was I thinking.

Should we therefore abolish the following list?

African, African Scottish or African British
Any other African, Caribbean or Black ethnic group
Any other Asian, Asian Scottish or Asian British ethnic group
Any other ethnic group (please specify below)
Any other White ethnic group (please specify below)
Arab
Bangladeshi, Bangladeshi Scottish or Bangladeshi British
Black, Black Scottish or Black British
Caribbean, Caribbean Scottish or Caribbean British
Chinese, Chinese Scottish or Chinese British
Indian, Indian Scottish or Indian British
Mixed or multiple ethnic groups (please specify below)
Pakistani, Pakistani Scottish or Pakistani British
White British/English/Northern Irish/Welsh
White Irish
White Polish
White Scottish

And if your answer is yes in every an all circumstances then please also assume its whatever you identify as that is the first for the chop and the default assumption would not be anything you remotely associate with. And can you not see there being a bit of an issue if a white person is the one telling all the others the list is no more.

On the other hand if racial identities can stay then why are they different to gender identities which are not allowed and in the wrong direction?
Those are not racial identities; they are ethnic identities. In themselves they are problematic. I used to know a white bloke who was bought up by a Afro Caribbean couple in Jamaica and identified himself ethnically as afro caribbean despite being white as he spoke Patois and had been raised in that culture. Which box would he tick?

Trans-White. Biologically a white person, identifies as an afro caribbean.

I'm getting the hang of this stuff...

I don't think it really needs explaining. But if you take the view (as argued by some animal rights philosophers) that "species" is just an artificial human construct used to oppress sentient beings who don't look like us, all bets are off and no sheep is safe any more. LBGTQIAAF? It's probably not a bad idea to draw the line at the boundary of our own species, but who gets to draw that line, and how? After all, seventy years ago homosexuals were about as well regarded by society as people who interfere with animals. You could go to prison for either.

At a guess, both. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

So the very people that are complaining and campaining to be recognised officially, and respected, as it was put in this thread, as transsexual, non-binary, trans-queer nondefined, etc. like our poster that got ridiculously offended at the suggestion that I might know the gender of a new born child, are the same people suggesting that they should have these rights, but can draw the line and tell others they can't?

Is it really about equality? Or about getting what they want?

Please. It's turned into the chronically upset Vs anything that can be complained about. Or is that a baseless slur?

No here the troll is the person rattling their mouth, yet saying nothing of substance, nothing useful, answering no questions, and getting angry any time one is asked of him.

I assume it's ok to refer to you as 'him'?
'saying nothing of substance' = the trolls casting around baseless slurs without evidence

'answering no questions ' = not giving the subserviant answers you want and massaging you ego you mean

and it;s unaccpetable to question the use of slurs towards people , the accusations being made and the bandying about of diagnosis by unqualified iuninformed, bigoted self appointed experts who quite obviously have no lived experience outside their middle class bubble ...
