13yr old killed in F50

This is the driver's eye view of the track, where that car is going down to the right.

I'd imagine if you know this road, and you know there's nothing likely to be coming the other way with a kid to impress in an F50, it is very tempting/easy to give it a whole load of wellie.

It's the kind of road that most of us would have a little blast down.

Toy Stor-age is down the end of the track, behind Newlyns Farm. That's why he was there. I guess he just lost it, and a tragic accident.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.266845,-0.954217...

Might be an old picture but plenty of evidence of hooning on that road with all the tyre marks.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.266845,-0.954217...

And a possible murder? charge to follow.
It won't be murder as that needs to be pre-meditated afaik. And a possible murder? charge to follow.
I visited the scene of the accident at lunchtime. The road won't loop as it's private at the end opposite the farm shop.
From what I could make out the incident happened at the farm side of the road. There are 2 sets of fences between the road and the field. The first are rectangle shapes every few meters, plenty thick enough (10-20cm) and then a patch of grass and a continuous post and rail fence along the field. The car seems to have ricocheted between these 2 at some point.
There was bits of carbon fibre shards, glass and a few electrical wires from the car at the scene, but most importantly I think is the tragic loss of life from a seemingly good intention on behalf of the driver. I hope all parties are able to forgive themselves and move on with dignity and patience.

And how we all have a responsibility to wind it in when there's a child involved, in particular someone else's.

MOTK has been quoted on this:
(mod. comment : no need to give the parasites any extra help with SEO)
A very, very sad accident but unfortunately it sounds just like that - an accident. I don't know if the driver was the owner of the car, but I don't think anyone would reasonably expect this to be a consequence of just having a bit of fun down a lane like that.

TBF, it's not just children; what if your passenger is a parent? It's one of the reasons why I've never been keen on having passengers at track days. Unless they're expendable crash-test dummies like me.Eric Mc said:
Interesting that they have quoted from this forum.
a) I hope MOTK was asked before they used the quote
b) it just shows that what we say on here can be picked up for more mainstream distribution
I was quoted in a Daily Telegraph article a couple of years ago. It was a direct copy and paste from PH and I never got asked.a) I hope MOTK was asked before they used the quote

Just goes to show that this is an open forum and that its really out there in the public domain. Perhaps we all need to think twice about what we say on here. Its there forever isn't it?a) I hope MOTK was asked before they used the quote

Surely he doesn't own the copyright? The site owner will do.a) I hope MOTK was asked before they used the quote

Besides, I doubt they would have to ask as this is clearly "fair comment" (or whatever it's called) as far as copyright law goes.

Yes - it's all in the terms and conditions of posting on the site, but I agree that it feels a bit off that they should simply cut and paste. And this is The Telegraph we are talking about, not a random news site.Aresholes
You comment about (at request of MOTK) could be taking out of context as well so you may wish to edit that.
