I hope the judge invites them to return to their country of origin if they want a "better" standard of education.

They may have a point. US public schools are pretty bad.

Potentially, yes. They probably had "old school" chalk and talk, just like private schools here.

They might have a point about their school being rubbish but I'd imagine they'll just have to deal with it unless they can prove that they're being kept there against their merit.

Being a refugee must really suck. I stayed in halls with a girl whose Dad was an architect who got his family out of Iran during the revolution before fleeing to Britain himself. He ended up working in a corner shop for the next 30 years!
