Absolutely not.

The senior police officers who were responsible for the deaths of 96 innocent people, and then tried to cover up their actions, should be prosecuted for manslaughter and conspiracy to pervert the cause of justice.

Only then will there be justice for the 96.

The Police have for over 27 years done everything they could to prevent the truth coming out. Deaths could have and should have been prevented by a competent Police Force. Even during the Inquiry they continued to be evasive and aggressive towards the witnesses. Now the CPS will decide if prosecution is the way forward.
If anyone thinks that the families of 96 Victims are now just getting on with their lives and forgetting what happened on the day and in the DECADES since think again.

Did anyone else think the Hillsborough inquiry had run its course and brought closure to everyone involved

It seems not

Another chance to rake everything up again and spend years taking through the courts?
Isnt there a time when a line is drawn and wasnt that at the inquiry end?
The police lied and cheated, falsifying evidence and you think this should go unpunished. Or is it because the crime happened back in 1989?

A serious crime has been committed and public trust in the police (not just South Yorkshire) been eroded.

Of course there should be prosecutions.
What the police did was after the event. Whatever they did or didn't do, they didn't kill anybody.

Who crushed the fans that died?
Other fans.

Why is there a criminal case?
Erm, just a wild stab in the dark here but I reckon it might be because crimes were committed

Not really. I have never seen it as a suitable subject for humour, whether Yorkshire or any other kind.

Oh, hello, Stephen. Just back from Sainsburys are you? No holding hands, I trust. You never know who might be offended. wink

None really, beyond greeting you and recalling that we're 'met' before, and had differing approaches to things.

Well I didn't think so, but it appears you do: but then we can't be expected to agree all the time.
