They don't look that impressed, I wonder if Vaz was asking whether he'd get any change, or a discount for a twosome biggrin

Is he doing the coffee beans thing there with his right hand?

Even from that pic you can see what an oily he is.

Francois Hollande in Tours today.

The Jungle will be broken up (sounds like he means pretty soon)
Occupants will be relocated to refugee centres around France, and given 4 months to claim asylum if not then to be deported.

Wonder what that's all about then?

Anyone would think a Presidential Election was around the corner...

hehe

Only for more to walk in as France has no border controls other than with us. hehe

How do you deport someone with no papers to say where they are from?

They will have to declare it if they wish to claim asylum. If not, they can stay locked up.

If the report in the ST today is correct, they do, pretty much, already know the nationalities of those camped there of which, incidentally, according to aid group estimates, only 1% are from Syria. The rest are 43% from Sudan, 33% from Afghanistan, 9% Eritrea.

There's another interesting quote:

The Sunday Times said:
Sarkozy has seizure the opportunity to challenge what he calls blind elitist attitudes and say what is unsayable.

"What is really inhuman is to let these migrants think there is a future for then in France at a time when our mechanism for integration has stalled," he said.
I'd not previously had much respect for him, but I happen to think he's right to speak out against the pan-EU, monolithic multi-cultural fascism. We do need to figure out what's going wrong with current immigration, before we allow more to take place or we're in grave danger of compounding errors and social divisions.
