Not sure how many of them are children, and I don't trust the government/border force to have robust policies in place to weed out the liars.
Quite agree, 1 of them perhaps might fall into the 14-17yo bracket, not so sure on the others, why oh why oh why do we let these people in!!

Well, every day is a schoolday...

On Radio 4 this am they are reporting that up to 100 'vulnerable children' will be leaving the Jungle and coming to the UK, amongst whom they listed Kuwaiti Bedoon - a new sub-classification I'd never heard of.

Google tells me they are a stateless people native to the Gulf who used to wander about, but are not to be mistaken for Bedouin (who are stateless nomads found in and around Gulf states).
I heard that too & wondered what refugee crisis there is in Kuwait. Or perhaps, they are just true to form in their "wanderings" & surprised themselves at ending up in Calais.
Unsure how this can be, but just heard on radio that the 'unaccompanied' children coming to the UK (first I heard 14 children, then 100 children - or was it 100s?) will all be going to relatives already residing here in the UK.

WTF!!

Please someone, explain, how these 14, 100, or 100s have relatives here already?

Via the back of a lorry ? Or they are make believe relatives, concocted over the internet, Could they not DNA test them or will that be against their human rights.

How could that poor child's family abandon such a poor innocent and vulnerable young child.

Wonder how many lefty hand ringers he's shagged.

It's not all an easy ride for them - they do have to put up with being welcomed by Rowan Williams...

I'm sick to death with this country's disregard for its people and these fking liberal do-gooders. Why do they always get their wishes fulfilled?

Please, can't we have a party that would sort this st out?

Tired of it.

In addition to the quite correct comments above concerning the age of these 'children', I've been wondering why are they all male? Surely female children, especially those between the ages of approx 10-18 are more vulnerable and should be given priority?

Seems clear that if UKIP can stop punching each other for a moment and have a name/branding makeover then there is a role available for them to fill. Who can you vote for to oppose this idiocy?

Only 5000 comments on the Daily Fail article saying pretty much the same. I'd love to know how exactly they are having their ages verified. Either fake ID's or just plain lying.

Now now be more welcoming to our Muslim brethren, I am sure they will enrich our European society.

Hey Cloggy - that's not very welcoming - after all they let you in!!! (Either that or we did a one-for-one exchange scheme - you in and me out).

P.S. Agree with what you're saying really smile

P.P.S Didn't see you at DSR this year. Hopefully we will see you next year. smile

Well I take it as gesture politics to keep the BBC/Guardian set happy. They can now all dance around celebrating how we are rescuing 'children' (none of whom looks a day younger than 21).

If it became serious numbers then yes May is betraying us all and the expectations she raised by her various speeches.
