She should be arrested for that aggressive outburst BUT....

Why does he feel it is perfectly fine to deliberately cycle in the middle of the road slowly meaning no vehicle can pass him without the need to pull over? Fine I get the argument about cars doors opening but does this mean cars should wait behind him the whole time he cycles on roads like this?

He could of pulled over rather than stop and block the road, even after the incident he carries on without letting her or the van past and surprise surprise she gets more angry....

some mirrors and politely pulling over when your holding up traffic would be the decent thing to do
I'm sorry but did you not LOOK at the road? it was a small 1-way road with cars parked BOTH SIDES, the width of the road is narrow that there's inches either side of most cars passing down it. It's not that long of a road either. the length he cycles down is very small too.

1- even if he rode to the side there would not be room to overtake
2- he's every right to be where he is
3- he's riding defensively for
(a) vehicles behind him and
(b) vehicles parked either side that could open their doors to him.
4- the narrow section of the road takes about 5seconds max to traverse.

She is clinically insane and 100% wrong. utter stupid entitled young bh. the video makes my blood boil.

I'm not asking him to pull over to the left so she can squeeze past the gap is far too tight for that but he had several chances to pull over to the left where there were no parked cars, the gaps were rather large at this point

Is it really fair that he feels he could cycle 1 mile, 2 miles, 3 miles on roads like that riding in the middle so no vehicle can pass and never pull over??

He was cycling rather slowly and the roads in front of him were clear, those stuck behind would of been able to drive at 20-30mph

I can imagine him driving on the motorway in the 3rd lane doing 74mph, refusing to move over as anyone trying to pass will break the speed limit
The average speed in London is 7MPH, there were traffic lights ahead. Cycling is quicker than driving in Kensington...

She was lucky it was Jeremy Vine.

Somebody might have taken a different approach to her stupid aggressive behaviour.

What, with the chance of a child or pedestrian stepping out between parked cars? Never! Thanks to those selfishly parked cars it's 10-20 mph maximum.

I'm sure she would.

The road was obviously too narrow for a car to pass. If you can't see that, then you really shouldn't be driving.
She's clearly mentally unhinged and a danger to other road users. You can see a chap in the passengers seat, presumably trying to pacify her. God help him if he's in a relationship with her!!

What lets you know that Vine is a knob is when he switches to Front Cam and you see he has deliberately stopped in the middle of the where the road just where it widens. Rather than move into the vast new space he had, he chose to stop her in the narrow bit for a confrontation.

She is a nasty aggressive piece of work, but he is a knob.

As with so many of these cases, it's a video of an ahole having an argument with a tt.

He can be a very annoying sanctimonious tt on the radio, but I think he's right on this.

I though he was hogging the road at first but after a few seconds you see just how narrow the road is made by parked vehicles, I'd be driving no more than 20 down there at best, and wouldn't even consider passing a bike.
Stopping as he did was a bit of a dick move but she was driving like a moron/road warrior, her actions from then on only further her case for getting into the sea.

Vine, good work, let's hope she's REALLY regretting her actions now and has a nice visit from the police coming soon.

That isn't the case here though. it's a relatively tight/small residential road. he was well ahead of her. the length of the whole incident couldn't have been more then maybe 40-50metres. she didnt have to drive/behave/sound her horn in the manner she did, and she was the only person there too.

I agree about her, not him. Good on him that he caught this, and come on, how about addressing the bit I've added it in bold.
Means insurance invalid too.
Next time it could have been a mum and kids on a crossing...

No excuses, none, for tax expired that long.

Await the next instalment...

Just give to show what kind of world these BBC "stars" seem to live in, I'll bet you he'll never try that stunt again, right OR wrong!

Women in a state such as this can be further provoked with a simple comment concerning their hormonal balance, or their menstrual cycle.
The meltdown phase is hilarious
It's like pressing a go into self destruct mode button on the centre of their forehead.
Once they're hysterical anything can happen.
F cking hilarious.
Thoroughly recommend it.

Never mind a new door mirror. If she'd have tried that stunt on me she'd still be looking for her damned car keys.

Given that the tax is expired, she'd have a nice time explaining that if she called the police.

I had one of these idiots behind me the other day. Hammering down a hill, I decided, based upon an upcoming right turn at a roundabout, that I'd rather not stay in the glass-strewn cycle lane, and positioned centrally prior to moving further to the right.

Idiot behind me roars up and starts tooting and gesticulating. Strange thing is, I hadn't expected anyone to catch up to me, because I was (entirely legally) doing 38mph on a road limited to 30mph (for motor vehicles). Some morons see a bike and have to pass it no matter what the cost, or how inappropriate it is. Usually on approach to a junction, or a queue of traffic which I'll sail past anyway. Another that springs to mind was a lorry driver who came past ranting on about a bike path nearby. No use to me as it goes the wrong way for my journey, but he tried to squeeze me off my lane, and very nearly rear-ended cars at the back of the queue. He got a bang on the door, and a 'middle finger' as I rode past him, and about 50 cars ahead of him, before getting onto a bike path that was going somewhere useful.

As for anyone who expects cyclists to move over to let cars past? You can fk right off from now on. I was stuck behind a Mini t'other day, which I'd (stupidly) let past me by dropping into a passing place. Sure, she was quicker up the hill than I was, but when we reached some twisty bits, she was massively holding me up. Did she use a passing place to allow faster road users to get by? Did she 'eck as like. Pretty embarrassing to be holding up a bloody push-bike on a NSL road, no? Not the first time neither. I caught up to a Nissan Micra UPHILL between Headley and Leatherhead a few weeks ago. Incredibly frustrating to be unable to carry hard won momentum from the preceding downhill stretch, and massively frustrating, I assume, for the Audi A4 driver stuck behind the Micra and in front of me.

I'm not saying I'd have stopped in front of Corsa bh to remonstrate with her the way Vine did, but if she'd have got out in front of me like she did to him, she'd have been on her arse and I'd have had her keys away. Only safe option, I'm afraid, when a psychotic moron has a 1 tonne weapon like that is to a) remove yourself from the danger (not really possible on a road like that), or b) remove the danger (no keys, no more 'car as weapon' situation). Slightly complicated with modern cars and 'keyless ignition' like mine has, granted.
