Considering how increasingly vile politics has become, I can’t see her or her husband wanting to be in a position where the daughters will undoubtedly become the target of abuse and threats.

Yep, I think that is spot on.

Michelle Obama said in an interview she would not even consider running for public office because she knows what it has taken out of them as a family and her husband, in particular.

Planet USA has seiously jumped the shark. The 'post-truth' trump world is really something to behold, and it's no joke that at least some of his supporters are armed and ready, as he suggesteted, to 'use their second ammendment rights'.
