Don4l* be careful - if the mods or admin catch you running another user profile you'll get a ban /joke

*he may have asked same question - the answer is he's still about just waiting for the flack to ease up before chucking in another salvo himself

Tidying Corbyn's front garden maybe..? Trimming Abbot's bush...? hehe

I wouldn't trust Corbyn to deliver the evening paper to the right address, never mind a speech worth listening to.
I would, but it would be late, delivered by one worker in a Trabant wearing one Left shoe of the wrong (issued) size, 3 union reps in a Zil and only arrive when they were not on strike or at a union meeting smile

Even the local labour parties don't listen to him: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/jan/20/j...

Corbyn wanted a relative "newbie" to be candidate for the Copeland seat, local party decided they preferred someone with a bit more experience, is less of a rabid leftie and just happened to support Owen Smith when the leadership election was held.

Sounds like the party did the right thing to try and keep the seat. I wonder if they'll keep him away for the campaign too ?

Seems to be that most people either ignore or undermine him, including his own party.

One thing though his (initial) we will not betray the people by voting down the starting the Brexit process
was a decent clear message.
It showed some statesmanship Ironic that some in his own party continue to think they know best and that the message has now just become another cock up. For that one brief fleeting message I actually admired and respected him

Telegraph claim that Labour's own canvassing suggests they will lose Copeland : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/20/exclusi...

Support down by a third, "A senior Labour source said Mr Corbyn’s “incompetence” as a political leader is coming up repeatedly on the doorstep when discussing voting intention. ".

It must be the Russians although to be fair I think they would be too busy laughing at his attempts to destroy an Historic Party he doesn't need help

Still don't worry he has a mandate the people have spoken - it doesn't matter what the comstituants believe they are getting a different offering.

Sadly for these proper left leaning they are starting to see the message isn't getting through maybe because the UK public don't like he message OR JC isn't the man to deliver it OR his unusual approach of using going on the stomp local hustings and pretty rarely going on main stream nationwide media isn't actually reaching nearly enough people OR his strategy of motivating he voters who have never voted before has resulted in those actuallly not going to vote and a crushing loss of prevailing voters. Maybe JC assumed prevailing voters would stay comewhat may and he would simply add all those who don't vote then he would be in power into perpetuity.

But how can they not?
He will not resign so you need a leadership battle.
Leadership battle will be won every time by those left wing nutters as so many are in the membership and even more joining all he time. Party is finished

That seems to be the cleft stick they've found themselves wedged in.

As far as most of the membership is concerned it isn't so much a political party as a lefties club. Getting into power isn't the main point, in fact it gets in the way of ideological purity, it means 'pandering to the electorate'. That's why they never forgive a leader who actually wins elections.

This is also why it puts hopeless loonies onto the front bench. To succeed in the Labour party you don't need to appeal to the electorate just to the party. You also don't need to understand politics, history or economics, you are better advised to put your energies into learning the party rulebook and becoming expert in procedural manoeuvring.

And unless real normal labour voters become members en masses and vote together for a normal labour leader then nothing will change. The rules will not be changed as they have to be voted upon
