But if JC genuinely believed in Labour as a party, he would surely stand down at this point. The arrogance and intractability is absolutely breathtaking. Surely the man himself must see that he cannot lead or win an election campaign.

Without power they cannot help anyone. This is the thing I really struggle with, is it ego, does he really believe he is the right man, is it a bigger plan ... What goes on in his head ?

You miss the point, he has what he and his followers want, the PARTY.

This is all that matters

Why the feck would Corbyn want govern..... It's hard work and in the current environment a little bit of a poison challis. How much more comfortable is it to just heckle from the sidelines. If the government feck it all up he'll walk the next election even if he doesn't want it. We really do currently only have two party politics.

Of course I don't think the government will screw it up. Other opinions are available.

Actually given his age would he want to be globe trotting huge speeches massive pressure hounded by the press and you cannot just walk away from it the public need to hear you speak and be fully challenged.

Stating I have a mandate doesn't work.

A bloke in work is a corbyn lover and goes on marches with him, he and his wife is a momentum members. In discussion he admitted corbyn won't win but didnt understand the damage he was causing with his continued support of him.

I still find it hard to believe the party continue to support this complete incompetent fool. It's hilarious.
But how can they not?
He will not resign so you need a leadership battle.
Leadership battle will be won every time by those left wing nutters as so many are in the membership and even more joining all he time. Party is finished
That seems to be the cleft stick they've found themselves wedged in.
And unless real normal labour voters become members en masses and vote together for a normal labour leader then nothing will change. The rules will not be changed as they have to be voted upon
They simply need to split the party but nobody is brave enough to do it and there would probably be serious funding issues without the union backing.

I can't see change until a resounding defeat in a general election.

A sort of blairite brownite split but obviously not mentioning Blair. hehe

I think labours problems really started when they elected the wrong Miliband. It's the old union influence making them unelectable to the middle ground.

This is what alot of people don't get. Even if Corbyn were to step down - they'd still be st.

They elected the right Milliband, but not necessarily in the right party.

dan jarvis seems to be a decent bloke. only trouble i have with that is he is the only one. he does seem to be staying under the radar at the moment though, at a time when certain truths need to be stated .this leads me to believe his character may not be as strong as portrayed.
