Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has mistakenly told the House of Commons that a police officer who was injured in a shooting at a Belfast garage forecourt on Sunday had died.
I wonder if it will ever transpire Jeremy has invited this Northern Irish "killer" to the House of Commons in the 1980s?

I think it's fair to say he's shown half the Provisional IRA around the Palace of Westminster at one time or another.

An utter absence of any knowledge of current affairs.
In fact it's boardering on disgraceful - also he has done similar recently too.

I missed PMQs was there silence when he said it and had to rely on the PM to correct him / or leave him out to dry with that wired incorrect statement.

I think a few others around the house noticed, and a couple of women Labour MPs on the front bench seemed to mutter 'is that right....?' sort of thing to each other. Other than that, they let it pass.

Anyone see Graham Norton this week? Josh Widdecombe was on and told a story about inviting Corbyn onto his show. Corbyn agreed and turned up without even checking what the format was or ever even seeing the show-what a fking moron. It gets even better. JW was then on a train 3 days later and by chance sat opposite Corbyn on some seats(face to face), he caught Corby's eye and say hello how are you. Corbyn did not recognise him and carried on reading his paper. JW is going err wtf, we just met on my show 3 days ago.

you could be forgiven for thinking that Corbyn is a long-standing plant of one security agency or another.
More dead wood than plant. Complete idiot.

It sort of just passed by really. The best part about it was, it had already been mentioned at the very start of the PMQs when the first MP with a question did the usual 'I am sure the house will join me in sending best wishes to the injured officer shot at the weekend' and then Teresa May reiterated the sentiments. Hardly anytime later, Jeremy then stood up saying he had died!

So Corbyn has instructed his MPs to vote with the Government on Article 50 and is going to get the whips to make sure they do. Tulip Siddiq (Shadow minister for 'early years', whatever the chuff that is) has resigned from the front bench and there is a suggestion she won't be the last...

I can see Corbyn coming spectacularly unstuck with his plan.

Multiple resignations result in the same number of by-elections and Labour are not best placed in guaranteeing that any by-election would result in a Labour win.

The next week or so will be very interesting indeed, more so for Labour than the Tories.

They're only resigning from his shadow cabinet, not their seats. There won't be any by-elections (unless any more are REALLY hacked off and do a Tristam/Jamie). Whether that's a good or a bad thing is another matter.

I see no problem personally for any MP voting that way if their constituency voted in a similar way.....honourable action.

He cannot catch up, loses traction on his own slim trail.

"Labour's candidate for the Stoke Central by-election claimed that party leader Jeremy Corbyn was an "IRA supporting friend of Hamas" and said Brexit is a "massive pile of s**t".

Councillor Gareth Snell made the comments on Twitter ahead of the election triggered by Tristram Hunt's decision to step down."

But it was not a constituency by constituency vote. No more than it was street by street vote or country by country. It was a national referendum, one person one vote. to try to boil it down to constituencies is simply false way of looking at the result.

They won't resign their seats because this gig is the best they can get.

Perhaps you should add the 'e' and lose an 'o'. As it is it sounds a tad gay.
