My Hudle2 is dying, it frequently won't charge and is freezing more and more. Can anyone recommend a replacement ? It is only used for surfing the net, I would like something with the same size screen (or bigger) but don't want to pay iPad money. Thanks.

If it's just for surfing, I found that much more pleasant on a chromebook tbh...

I replaced my two daughters Hudl 2s with Nvidia Shield K1s after one was refunded when it died and the other started having charging and battery issues. The Shield is much better on all counts really, good screen & speakers, good battery, very quick and they're still releasing new updates to Android unlike virtually all other budget tablets (on Marshmallow 6.02 currently).

I do have a Chromebook & it is very good but I do like having a tablet as well.

Thanks, I will have a look at one of these Shields.

I found in May that stock at retailers was quite limited, and those with stock were often charging over the odds. If you're going to get one and find the same, check the Nvidia Shield website and buy direct assuming they have them in stock as they were cheaper than anywhere.

Amazon had them for £169 about 10 days ago.

Just checked --still there.

I have recently bought a Lenovo, refurbished from Argos

For the money it's a great piece of kit and I am really pleased with it, good battery life, clear screen and good sound, it was as new when it arrived and came with a years warranty.
