Not at all. It wasnt Tory plolicy to take us out of Europe. It was to hold a refendum and then go along with what was agreed by the public.
They got into power, and the MP's (all of them) voted 6:1 in favour of the simple in/out referendum which will allow the public to decide.
They allowed us the vote, we voted out. Cameron buggered off and May was left to sort it out. This law suit is saying that MP's need to debate it. in my opinion, they already have...
Who can blame Cameron for leaving, it isn't as though he didn't make it very clear what a disaster Brexit would be. Pound has nosedived, we haven't even left yet. They got into power, and the MP's (all of them) voted 6:1 in favour of the simple in/out referendum which will allow the public to decide.

May wasn't left to sort it out. She volunteered. In some ways I wish Leadsom had won, would have been even funnier than the current shower! 2017 will be comedy gold
Yep it's comedy gold on fantasy island right enough, if only it weren't so serious I would be laughing.Jimboka said:

. . . . . The Tories are fking up the country . . . . .
In what way do you believe they are doing this?Labour do the best for the country, except the illegal wars, industrial disputes, national bankruptcy, pocket-filling hypocracy, but apart from that, destruction of national identity, they're looking out for us.

When you're facing widespread criticism, point the other direction and blame those who aren't in power. Tory electioneering policy for the last 7 years.
Both sides do it- it's acceptable when backed up with facts.Welcome back; we missed you.

Indeed.
Seems odd to blame the Tories for the inadequacies of the electorate.
now that really is comedy gold Seems odd to blame the Tories for the inadequacies of the electorate.
If it were up to a referendum & the electorate, then by all measures we'd be flip-flopping on the Death Penalty every decade or so.
Democracy has necessary limitations imposed on it. For very sound reasons.

It was quite unlucky for Labour, however, that Gordon Brown sold off nigh on 60% of our gold assets and was busy spunking money like a fat kid in a sweet shop when he should, perhaps, have been saving a bit or at least investing it in expenditure with a return of more than votes
Labour tend to get into power by promising people free stuff. I don't really recall the Tories doing this in my lifetime, save perhaps for a bit of flim flam from Cameron when shackled to Clegg.
