I seem to recall a recession was predicted if the UK voted to leave the EU.
IIRC it was predicted whatever the outcome??

It will be a correct prediction when the recession comes....whenever that is.....in the future sometime.....ish.
Too true. Every prediction is correct if you wait long enough
So the Remainer experts are like broken clocks.

He's got 1 USP, being rabidly anti-Brexit. He HAS to play it to the max or he's nothing, literally nothing.

I now place Minor Fart, and the rest of the Not Liberal, Not Democratic clowns in the same idiot bin as the Labour Party . Perhaps I've been naive, I used to think of them as principled people, and , on occasion, when the "least worst" have needed punishing , they have had my vote.

Never again, their actions post referenda has been deplorable, if that word is enough , no respect for the elctorate at all. Utter s.

The bloke is a complete .

One minute he wants Parliament to over ride the people and then he wants the people to be able to over ride Parliament.

I love the way May is stating all the things she wants out of Brexit when we actually know she doesn't even want Brexit at all.

A Brexit referendum a pro remain PM gave us because he thought he'd win, followed by a pro remain PM banging on about how optimistic she now is for the future. hehe

Why aren't any of the pro leave conservatives now leading the way?

May is the best person for the job. Don't worry the euro sceptics will be pushing her behind the scenes.

The Tim Farron that lost a Twitter poll to a fish finger? Beeb love him, he's psychotically anti-Brexit so he's their go-to guy.

Yes, why aren't any of them leading the country?

I find it a bit hard to believe May's newfound conviction for Brexit.

Because they all know it would be death to their careers. Almost half the country is always going to hate you as the one that delivered brexit and a chunk of the leavers are gonna hate you because whatever deal is signed won't really be what they wanted.

Rock and hard place springs to mind

I seem to recall a recession was predicted if the UK voted to leave the EU.

The UK did vote to leave the EU and despite the prediction there doesn't appear to be one (recession), or one on the way.

Rather surprisingly, the £ has gained on both the $ and Euro and was gaining on both during May's speech.
Hard times were prexicted for if and when we left the EU. Have we done that yet?

Thus far I am reasonably happy with our PM. She is the leader of our Country and clearly has commited to ensuring the electorate are served with the decision made. Comes as a surprise a leading politician who seems intent in making the very best of the Brexit decision.

agree with all, it really is a sad time for uk politics when there is only one electable party . i hope this situation changes in the near future as it is not a good situation to be in long term.
