Still waiting for you to withdraw your comment on Boris Johnson...
Boris Johnson is a tosser.
So, how do you explain his huge popularity then?
For me BJ comes across as a buffoon, he has built his career on the buffoonery style and people expect that of him. Great trick to pull off in politics as that presentation style clearly holds much appeal across a very wide spectrum of people. He knows this as do most people. This presupposes that his serious politics is held behind closed doors to a certain extent.
The question is would I want more politicians to come across in this presentation style , absolutely not, only BJ can get away with it.

Has he ever been right ?
More times than you've had hot dinners fella, so wind your neck in.

Are all the Kippers returning to the Tory Party going to stand for Theresa May fiddling immigration statistics? She has a track record for missing targets when home secretary so I'm surprised they are so confident with her n charge.

Yup. They will have no choice if Corbyn and his bunch of leftards are the alternative.

There are other political parties in this country. You're not suggesting Labour are the only other party worth voting for are you?

Yup. Its the Cons or Lab. The Libdems are toast, the greens are just silly and UKIP has served its purpose. So choose your poison, Cons or the loony left.

Labour aren't worth voting for, never mind any of the others.

As is clearly shown by the polls.

What is needed is a new political party with some credibility to oppose the current government but fk knows where it's going to come from.

The problem with PH is that even when you do have an expert in a certain field, if it goes against the perceived wisdom of the self appointed forum experts on here they will continue to attack and belittle (combined with some quick googling) the expert just to prove that they are correct.

I would not be surprised if a lot of people just don't bother anymore because it can be exhausting (from previous experience).
True that.
These two together are hilarious.

Still firmly in the honeymoon period for TM. Today is her 100th day in charge. The only way is down.

It's all relative. It's quite clear she'll win the next election.

What's that got to do with Labour not being worth voting for?

They aren't linked. Labour are useless. May may or not be, but either it doesn't make Labour any more attractive.

I do hope you're still around in 2020...

It's not that clear at all. Gordon Brown was storming ahead in the polls at the beginning of his term and look what happened there! She is well and truly in honeymoon period. Her ratings will soon start dropping.

Viewed together it certainly looks like the sort of boost a new Prime Minister normally receives, which is a good reason not to read too much into it. New Prime Ministers receive good poll ratings because they haven’t had to annoy too many people yet – the public can project their hopes onto them and convince themselves they really will be different, really will deliver this, that or the other. Before long, however, the shine will come off and they’ll have to start making compromises and disappointing people. This is one good reason for Theresa May not to plan for an early election (and the mistake Gordon Brown made in not shutting down such considerations) – the current polls look wonderful for her, but on past timescales they won’t necessarily be so rosy in a couple of months time. It’s also a crumb of comfort for Labour… though quite a small crumb.

I disagree. Boris has done a lot wrong for the city - his stance on the rash of developments up and down the Thames for example, which are basically just bolt holes for foreign investment.
Will be interesting to see how deep he is in on this whole Garden Bridge too.

As I said, it's all relative. Will she have worse ratings? Quite probably. Will the country vote for Corbyn as PM, McDonnell as Chancellor and Abbott as Home Secretary? Not. In. A. Million. Years.

Let's agree to differ and reconvene in three and a half years.

Not in a million years? Labour were leading in the polls earlier this year with Corbyn and Mcdonnell so I don't think it's as far fetched as you suggest. But yes, we'll see what happens in 2020.
