I removed my post. I put it on as a bit of banter in response to something else but realise that it was a bit near the mark. Also the side adverts in it were too much.
Genuine apology - from me not on behalf of the nation !
Thank you gentlemen

In the video she says 'I'm sorry for what we [my country] have put you through' - WTF
The one thing that nobody seems to have mentioned is the fact the father apparently lives in B'ham. Shouldn't she be apologising on his behalf for leaving his child in that state?!? I don't have kids but 2 rescue dogs and I hate being away from them for more than a few days, why would anybody leave their child behind?!? They will argue that they are so desperate they have no choice and that is utter rubbish. Wouldn't you want to make sure your child is ok no matter what the circumstances.

I was going to make the obligatory joke about Birmingham and suggest the youngster may be better off in the Jungle. But I won't.The one thing that nobody seems to have mentioned is the fact the father apparently lives in B'ham. Shouldn't she be apologising on his behalf for leaving his child in that state?!? The French and indeed every country they transit through to reach that camp should be apologising for not doing 'their bit'. Lily fking Allen doesn't speak for me.
Its an incredibly sad and desperate situation at the human level, its just a shame celebrities can ride the wave of emotion and spend their cash when they get home and wash the 'emotional grime' off.

I heard one interview that stopped me in my tracks last week. An Eritrean was asked what the motivation was for him and his family to get to London. His answer was "you have running water in English homes".
Yep, Sky news, isolated quote, they still don't all deserve to come here etc, etc...It makes you think though.
