Nasty piece of work?

This is exactly what I mean about going OTT, she may be a shameless self publicist, and sanctimonious, but nasty piece of work? Katie Hopkins gets an easier ride from some on here!!

where did I mention anything about her being a woman?

I did not say you mentioned anything about her being a woman. I simply asked if you think criticism of her disgusting antics should be moderated because she is a woman.

Not at all, plenty of public figures have had much worse on here. Do you think people should go easy on this nasty piece of work just because she's a woman?
Indeed - Blair, brand, abbot have all been far more heavily criticised (for more reasons to be fait) but still

She's a hypocrite. She's an (attention) we. She's preachy. She's entitled and far less talented than she envisions.

3 things that don't play well on here.

She's sees on social media the negative response to her antics, yet carries on regardless.

Her lust for fame/attention outweighs any self awareness she may have once had so she's fair game IMO.

White knighting seemed the most obvious reason for your stance.

Thread title needs updating, it now needs to say "Lily Allen has apologised for apologising on your behalf"

https://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/celebrity-news/...

She says her words were "clumsy".

I freely apologise on my own behalf for not foreseeing this eventuality.

In my defence, or perhaps more so for the prosecution(?); all of her words are 'clumsy' surely?

Can we expect an apology for this apology of an apology?

Just caught way too much of the love-in between the beeb & the shameless, self-indulgent narcissist that is Lily Allen.

TL;DC - "it's really hard, everybody hates me"

well boo-hoo

hehe

Apparently she's been gigging in Berlin says Sunday Wail's music columnist, Tim de Lisle (what a name!) who it seems has more than a soft spot for her!

He says just 3 'songs' into her gig, Allen goes on about the trouble she has been having selling tickets. rofl
(No surprise to some of us Mr de Lisle!)
Lily continues:
‘This is like the most full-up room we’ve played to.’ hehe (don't you just feel for her?) hehe

Come the end of her gig, she naturally dishes out her views on the latest development in the Brexit saga.rolleyes

de Lisle adds: '...even when oversharing, Lily’s still endearing.'
(oh pleeeeeeeassse! NO she isn't!)

He ends:
'Do Lily, and yourself, a favour: slip 'No Shame' (her new album) on to your Christmas wish list.

YOU MUST BE F JOKING de Lisle.
rofl NOT A CHANCE!!

I think 'Cheryl' will go the same way. New single is a flop (because it's terrible) so her next move will be to become political.

'Cheryl' has the advantage of being gorgeous (whilst also being a nightmare of a similar scale to Lily Allen) so I'm thinking and hoping that Cheryl's response to the end of her recording career will simply to become more and more slutty.
