Why the ageist stance? They're all human beings, whether young or old.
I don't think it's an ageist thing, the uk has agreed to take in a quota of 'child migrants' if half or these are adults 'pushing in' as it were, the children will be left behind

Just out of curiosity, if we can't determine the age of these children, due to lack of paperwork, how can we determine they're actually related to the people in the UK they say they are?
Interesting point.

A DNA test would help.

I suspected this would be an answer but considering we can't even do dental tests on them how well do you think a DNA test is going to go down?

A cotton bud inside their cheek is hardly invasive if you are genuinely fleeing for your life IMO.

Another example of Brexit fking up the country.
You fking moron, why would there be a jungle in Dover when they're the desire side of the channel? Why don't you just ps off with your agenda driven st.

Just a question that I genuinely don't know the answer that to. If someone arrives in the uk without any documents, what can we legally do? If we put them back on the boat/flight/train etc, they wouldn't be admitted in the country that they left.

Bloody hell! I can imagine you on a sinking ship, as everyone else puts women and children first, pushing to the front. You sad excuse.

If Le Touquet is torn up, it means the British won't be making border checks for immigration on french soil. We'd then have to do it in Dover meaning the immigrants will find it a lot easier to cross the channel and end up camped in Dover.

Hurray for Brexit!

If things are as bad as you say they'll be, no doubt none of them will want to come here.

My wife said this evening, while she was watching Strictly, that I'd been swearing a lot lately. I'd cursed a little as I was fixing a lamp that had gone out in the living room. She'd noted my language had got worse of late and wondered why?

Ah, I have an idea

Just logged on and showed her this thread and some other posts by the troll (jawknee).

She just said, and I quote:

'What a really sad tool!'

Believe you me, that is no compliment! hehe

Smiler.

You know how every post Jawknee makes is trolling.

This would seem to explain:

Urban Dictionary said:
Noun. Someone who uses large fonts, hackneyed arguments, bad logic, and an air of superiority to make up for his total lack of friends. Furthermore, this type of person is only enjoyed by those who have an IQ lower than his or her own. Consequently, the only company that a "jawknee" usually has is a single cancerous ferret.

So and so proved themselves to be an incontrovertible jawknee with an incredible display of incoherent, anal retentive intellectual debauchery that transcended anything previously witnessed in the history of mankind.

You're thick as mince, aren't you?

Once they are in the UK, why would they live in a "jungle"? It is their chosen destination.

How's the jungle camp at Portsmouth on, say, the Cherbourg route? I'm surprised it hasn't had more press.

Baffling that the French signed up to something which isn't of mutual benefit.

If they suddenly find they aren't being stopped from crossing the channel, they will suddenly stop wanting to come here?

What sort of backwards logic is that?

We benefit big time from Le Touquet. If it is scrapped, the immigrants will be held in Dover.

He is saying that the Calais Jungle will move to Dover. If they get to Dover, why would they live in the fking woods? They'd be where they are currently trying to get to.

One or two little points here. If they're all aiming to claim asylum in the UK then we would need some sort of reception centre in Dover.

However, I think we'd find that there wouldn't be too much call for asylum once they'd got to the UK - an awful lot of the migrants would disappear into the grey economy without a trace.

I don't believe they will be where they are trying to get to.

The French will be required by EU law to conduct border checks before they can pass through UK border control. The Dublin Regulation then kicks in.

There are other UK ports where the French border control is on the UK side. No camps there though.
